One of the best things about working at WIN is the dynamic and ever-collaborative team. I like the way how senior employees are always willing to share their knowledge, and the managers and leaders encourage learning and progress, regardless of the outcome. Having said that, it does not mean that quality work and respect for deadlines aren't important here. You have to provide regular updates across multiple Slack channels. Initially, it was a bit challenging for me, but it soon became part of the muscle memory. My role gave me a chance to work across departments including leadership. I've spent the most time collaborating with the VP, the Director of Operations, and their reportees. I have learned about simplifying processes and people and change management. And though the CEO is pressed for time, he managed to share deep insights on some glaring gaps which somehow didn't strike us due to the blindspot of working on something day in and day out. He is okay if you make mistakes as long as you are learning, but excuses are a strict no-no while communicating with him. The motto here is as long as you make progress, you either win or learn something from the outcome, whether positive or negative. Just don't sit on tasks and let things linger....Read More

I also want to emphasize the importance of being proactive and open to communication and strong feedback. If you want to learn more about my experience, read below. The work environment at WIN Home Inspection is likely to be challenging for you, if you are someone with a laidback attitude, procrastinates, or even someone accustomed to external positive reinforcements and rewards. There are occasional shoutouts, but you are expected to be a self-starter, self-motivated, solution-oriented person who is open to communication. If you are struggling with prioritization, the VP at WIN Home Inspection is the best person to guide you. If you are stuck with external communication, the training and marketing teams, and even the Director of Operations can be a good source of validation. If you are stuck in the status quo reach out to peers and then get more insights from the CEO or the VP after doing your homework first. These are the best practices of star performers at WIN. If you are up for learning and collaborating then join WIN, if not please do not waste anybody's time. I feel life at WIN Home Inspection is similar to trekking and camping trips, there is fun and banter with some real quality work. It's all in your perspective and stage of your career.
