I encountered several challenges that significantly impacted my overall experience. The team management was consistently poor, marked by an unfortunate culture of micro-management and pervasive office politics. The working environment often felt like a source of frequent torment, with no tangible perks, promotions, or job security to alleviate the strain. Moreover, the absence of proper documentation for projects made work management a daunting task. The company's hire and fire policy added to the instability, creating an atmosphere of uncertainty. Surprisingly, the lack of provision for company systems meant employees had to use their own systems for work, further adding to the burdensome conditions. This combination of factors made my tenure with the company a frustrating and unrewarding experience. The partiality among employees demonstrated by my coordinator, Tanmay Tiwari, significantly added to the unfavorable work environment. His consistently rude behavior, particularly in response to minor mistakes, created an atmosphere of fear and discomfort. It became apparent that once targeted, individuals faced ongoing scrutiny and unnecessary challenges, even when performing well. Mr. Tanmay Tiwari's approach of changing rules arbitrarily and subsequently reprimanding employees for adapting to these alterations only heightened the stress and made the workplace increasingly challenging to navigate. Similar to another review I have read here this organisation is just blatantly dishonest. I originally applied for the job of "Junior Software Tester" while on the last semester if my IT diploma. I attended an interview with Rahul who I believe is the owner of the company in a shared office space, all seemed pretty normal. Upon being accepted for the role I attended a client meeting which at the time I though was a pretty valuable experience and was shown around my workspace where himself and 2 other sales people worked. Within the next week I spent time getting to know the work and understand what kind of software I would be looking at, and then I was told not to come in for a few weeks as they closed over the Christmas period and I would be contacted as to when to return. 3 weeks later I had not been contacted and took it upon myself to contact Rahul who said for me to return the next week, which I did. This is when red flags started appearing. Upon returning there was no device for me to use and was told to bring my own. A week had passed and no contract, no one from HR (which I believe was off shore) to collect my personal and payment details and I was starting to become anxious, at this point I had also began to realised my tasks were shifting to a different manor of work. My thoughts at the time with this being my first experience in an IT role was to keep the job and gain experience, little did I know this was the beginning of a rollercoaster of micromanagement and abuse at the hands of Rahul. My work started to contain tasks that related to contacting clients and customer and relaying information to the development team in standup meetings (nothing to do with Software Testing). Rahul would regularly berate me in front of the other team members for not completing tasks to his liking and would micro manage any correspondence to clients, emails and phone calls. He would berate me for having emails longer than 3 lines, as in three one line sentences to communicate important information to clients. No longer than a month later did I receive a contract for not a "Junior Software Tester" but a "Client Service Officer" which I did not apply for nor was I educated to do, my diploma was in Website Development. But naively I was so desperate to have a job in the industry I signed it and stayed. Weeks of abuse and micromanagement, being in stand up meetings where English was not spoken, including by Rahul and being too scared to speak up I was told it was my responsibility to ask them to translate for me, this is where I reached breaking point and called Rahul to inform him that I wished to resign, to which he basically told me no. He needed me and would provide me with more training. Again naively I accepted his request and not but a week later, on Monday morning he told me he was letting me go, dumbfounded I didn't even know how to react completed my days work and left. For someone's first venture into the IT industry it was definitely not a positive one to say the least but I will give Rahul some credit in that it taught me a valuable lesson, don't take your managers word for anything, especially in an obviously money driven industry like IT. If you see a job advertisement from Technowand and decide to apply expect to be working in a completely different role for which you applied and if you get berated for not doing the job you weren't hired for just leave. Owner/head( Rahul Chawla) of the company has a habit of bitching and has no work other than that. He hires a new team every two months, please do not join this company if you are currently employed.
