I was lucky enough to be placed in team that was very helpful with each other. The training and coordination was good, general team and environment was friendly. My team and delivery manager were excellent.

Dislikes

TCS itself was the hindrance. It is no longer employee friendly. Underpaid, Overworked and denied overtime. The clients paid TCS well enough but we didn’t see a penny for overtime for 3-4 months, until we fought for it. Change from WFH to WFO was without exception, obligatory through floods, rains, and then asked to leave early and go home and continue work at home, since we had to leave earlier because of rains/riots/etc. Appraisals were terrible. The annual appraisal compensation: in spite of getting 'A' band the compensation is not per the industry standards. There is no Market Correction happening for people like me who stayed with TCS for 14 long years, that is really frustrating. We hire new people giving them huge compensation but do not pay well their loyal employees who have stayed with them for 10+ years. I joined as a Team member and I am the Delivery Manager for a account, but the salary is not corrected per industry standards. I myself have recruited people with salary more than me in my team and they tend to move out after max 3 years. being dissatisfied with the pay structure. TCS should give Market Correction to people who have at least 10 +years of tenure with them, to show that they value them....Read More

Worst company ever no ethics, toxic work culture and here HR are like demon as they feel enjoying while employees are suffering.

TCS management are filled with opportunist, profit mongering,characterless people. During my tenure they took all my overtime money,when I raise concern to HR and GHD global help desk they simple lie and threatened me.

-Salary increment is very poor compare to inflation rate a lot of deductions, also during increment they just adjust some of the components in the CTC, no promotion since 3 years just changing positions and increasing workload internally (that also not on the paper) and not giving money for additional workload (simply exploitation) and lot of micromanagement. - They prefer to give more packge to new joiner than currently working professionals who already have expertise and we have to train them, also sometimes they used to get work done from freshers for cost cutting; here also we have to train the freshers. - Also some of the project managers are expecting a work from employees during weekends too. - And the limit was reached when they asked to submit backpack when I was leaving the organization which was provided during the joining time otherwise you have to bourne money i.e. cost of backpack as a fine (never seen such a miser organization before)....Read More

Fully controlled by HR. Right from the seat allocation to employee benefits Manager have no control over the employee. Admin team should have the control over seat allocation. But here lot of process that has dependency with HR. Location transfer is a simple process in other companies. But here it is very complex process. Collegues, and company cultyre of TCS should be the benchmark in IT sector. And there is always to learn something, from collegues, management, or by ourselves. Job security is excellent.

Work culture is amazing. Work life balance is also great. But with someone like me who needs work and wants to constantly learn, tcs wasn’t the place to start. It’s good for mid level careers, not for freshers.

Great place to work and acquire new skills. Great benefits, insurance policies.

Dislikes

Some of the top management folks are absolute waste making the TCS brand degraded. Some policies like 5 day work from office makes no sense where team is pan India located and not in one place.
