Freshers can learn and gain skills sets and can switch to another company. Tcs is not like company it is more of like school. After college you can start your professional journey from here. But it has its own drawback which I'll discuss in dislike section. Some of Its policy is good but also these have its own drawback XD. such as health insurance benifits, No layoff policy.

Lack of employee centric policy. Most of the people working here because of job security and life insurance benifits. Salary of a freshers is not practical according to current days scenario. Freshers have less scope to grow up and less promotion opportunities. No matters how much work are you delivering higher management will only force you to come back office. Some people do nothing literally just only sucking the company. Management is puppet. TCS has very good work culture with very supportive colleagues, seniors, upper management, client and HR. I have experienced very good work life balance here with focus on effective and on time work delivery. Also job security is a prominent point here.

On time appraisal, salary increment are not satisfactory.

Tcs will provide employees lot of learning opportunities and job security.

Salary hike is very bad. Like in 5 6 years also there will be no significant changes in your salary slip. No bonus or gift cards. No recognition of good work. Internal politics will hamper productivity. And the worst thing now is WFO without fail or else salary will be deducted.

Appraisal and recommendations are not satisfactory. India's inflation rate starts at 8% hence if yearly appraisal is below 5% then we are not even beating the inflation with our hike which is a pain at TCS

Dislikes

Lack of new opportunities, poor management and ineffective leadership are major issues. Dirty politics force good leaders to leave, causing employees to suffer as management fails to follow TCS values. Everything depends on having good leaders.

Not good for freshers as we will not get desired hands on skill development and increment is not that good .

There is nothing to like about tcs. If you want to stay forever then only come toh tcs. Because in tcs , you will not able to learn anything. They will tell you about project and when you accept that project and start attending calls then you come to know that this is very different what they told.

Does not have good Projects. No learning. Forcefully put in manual testing work. No appraisal and hike.
