It's a great company to work! But as a lateral entry.

Dislikes

You loose your value if you stay more in the company. Few managers behave as if they are giving a share of their ancestral property for promotion. Extremely delayed promotions and pathetic appraisal. No trust on the employees

Benefits like Health Insurance, Tata Trust and retirement benefits. Work life balance will be depends on the project but mostly I have seen that we would be stucked with comfort zone.

Dislikes

Hike would be provided but very less. HR movements like promotions will have long waiting period. Comfort zone and learning opportunities will be depends on the projects again.

It was my childhood dream to work at TCS. So It's like I'm living my dream.

Because of job security, some people have become the family of members of TCS without gaining any knowledge and due internal politics, they are earning really good money. Freshers aren't treated we'll in most of the projects. It's really rare to find good hearted people here.

Don't come to this company at the early stage of your career. This company is full of cost cutting and almost every project is just support, hence B and C shift for which you'll not get paid (told ya, nxt level cost cutting).If you joined at early stage, then this company will squeeze all your juice, candidate moral will be at the lowest in his personal life. TCS has very good work culture with very supportive colleagues, seniors, upper management, client and HR. I have experienced very good work life balance here with focus on effective and on time work delivery. Also job security is a prominent point here.

On time appraisal, salary increment are not satisfactory.

Salary hike is very bad. Like in 5 6 years also there will be no significant changes in your salary slip. No bonus or gift cards. No recognition of good work. Internal politics will hamper productivity. And the worst thing now is WFO without fail or else salary will be deducted.
