Freshers can learn and gain skills sets and can switch to another company. Tcs is not like company it is more of like school. After college you can start your professional journey from here. But it has its own drawback which I'll discuss in dislike section. Some of Its policy is good but also these have its own drawback XD. such as health insurance benifits, No layoff policy.

Lack of employee centric policy. Most of the people working here because of job security and life insurance benifits. Salary of a freshers is not practical according to current days scenario. Freshers have less scope to grow up and less promotion opportunities. No matters how much work are you delivering higher management will only force you to come back office. Some people do nothing literally just only sucking the company. Management is puppet. My career had the lowest low when I had to join TCS. It was all because of an internal transition and not voluntarily at all. There is absolutely no growth at all. Like zero growth financially inspite of I working in a very challenging and competent product based company, as my client.

Level 4 person who isneely joined is asked to report under Level 3 person who is manager or leading team not bcoz of his expertise but bcoz he/she is tenure staff in the process and they were asked to lead as there was no one then...

Except job security there is nothing which can help you to grow your career neither skill nor salary or opportunities. If you want to develop your skills or willing to get benifits you need to be always good with manager even he is not a nice with you. Here people's get good hike and appraisals when they have good contact with manager, if not forget benifits from company even you working hard.

Dislikes

Due to mass hiring you will find less skilled people around you. Feels like Freshers training is not up to mark. Other service based companies provides good training to freshers so that It makes them ready to work resources but here I worked with many freshers and feels like they are not trained well so not able to perform well in job.
