Everything. The management believes in “divide and rule” policy -including the toppest management. They instigate unions to create problems and project as if solving their problem. By this cheap strategy they think that their presence is felt and they are needed to solve those issues. Therefore they think that continuity of theirjob. They promise something to workmen but do not fulfill. So, workers resort to strike more often. 90% of the time personnel manager is required to run to conciliation Office or Labour court than to think initiating TPI, TQM, 6 sigma and employees engagement initiatives.
