As a BDR you are entirely reliant on the AEs for your numbers. There is no tangible measurement on what qualifies as a flip(a customer conversation that can be taken ahead). The AEs absolutely have no concern for the BDRs and are treated as a commodity rather than a teammate. Tremendous pressure on the BDRs to deliver numbers which they have to beg from the AEs every month. The management is least concerned. Good PayMaster, fostering equality.

One thing I was not in line was the way the recent workforce reduction was done. Many great performers were impacted and many non-performers are still in the company. I agree that Salesforce had to take this decision for the betterment of the organization and for the future growth, I feel it was done in a better way. We have to work for 10-12 hours a day but billing will only happen for 8 hours a day. for promotion they have created a pl academy and tl academy which is too tough to get clear. every year 1-2 people clear it out of 100 applicants. Only way to get promoted is politics and favouritism. Expecting 24/7 availability of developers in some projects. Leadership is worst & very abusive.

High paced organisation, with a lot of work and learning pressure. Sales dominates in how things are driven, managers are not seasoned and it affects how they need to handle situation. Organisation is not bad at all but it depends on which team and which manager you are mapped to!

The influx of people that have been focused on removing the culture that made it such a great place to work. Been eliminating a lot of great roles and programs there were of a lot of value to customers, to focus more on selling. Getting promotions can be extremely difficult. Your total years of experience hold little value. If the interviewer likes you, you might secure a high position with minimal experience. Conversely, if the feedback is unfavourable, you might end up in a low position despite having extensive experience.
