The likes and dislikes may vary based on the project you are in within each stream in PwC. I work in payments transformation in Advisory , here the work like balance is good and the team is supportive, for me.

Dislikes

We may work with teams in other regions such as US and UK. Sometimes it is difficult to bridge the work culture gap and may feel like a struggle to do so. Initial compensation discussions are a bit frustrating since the hr wont budge to your negotiations. Hence the salary wont be what is expected when moving companies.

Work policy: When the team gets together, could be once in a week or once in 2 weeks.

It's totally depends upon manager, this time I got terrible manager (lady) who is not giving any work to me and if on request of uper manager I received any work then also she asks me to charge half an hour only for individual return which is not fair.

When I was hired they confirmed me that the work will match my previous job role and structure, later I found that I need to compete with the CA's on Financial Services and statements. As a B.tech and Masters in Business Analytics it was not a cup of tea for me. Still I tried to my best , one day I visited my Senior Manager and asked her to put me to some desired project I explained the situation I mentioned above , I was shocked to know the same person interviewed me and with a Question mark on serious note she was telling me Aren't you from the Financial Background? I was shocked and stunned. Phase 2- I suddenly had a serious medical urgency with my dad , with a critical Spine Surgery, I took the WFH permission from my Leads and HRBP on the same, still with each day I was humiliated . I was completing my work after coming back from hospital from 8.30pm at night till 4am in the morning , instead of any Thanks or Appreciated mail I was getting a call from my Manager and she was claiming myself a Shit in work culture, I was not claiming any extra amount for my work . After all these I came out of PwC without any offer because for me keeping my mental health to be stable is a big issue....Read More

Everything here is average in terms of work culture, work life balance, salary and benefits, promotions, learning and development and work satisfaction. It depends on the manager under which you are working and the team you are a part of. (Auditing domain perspective)

Work life balance in Audit is not available. Salaries and appraisals not upto the mark.

There is too much partiality in the teams, the one who is favourite of manager will get appraisal disregards of the performance of that employee. Fake promises to the clients for work which can't be achieved. Put u in any project disregards of your skill set. They will pay u promote u pn tha basis of internal performances mainly in TDR and not on project performance. Managers are very biased and sometimes they will sideline u eveng though u give your best in everything. Too much tight deadlines....Read More

As far as my team is concerned, the work culture is pathetic, you don't get appreciation or any feedbacks for improvement, all you get is a warning not to fail. The pay is good but the work life balance is way too bad. I have had my share of health issues due to heavy workload and long working hours. I am even planning to quit my job.

Some what got money but that too if you want to work like a slave.

1. They don't know how to run IT services as they were more into taxation. 2. You need to make so many people happy in order to get promotion. 3. Thier leaders do not have any leadership qualities. 4. Your voice will not be heard. 5. No Job Security. 6. Very much micro management. 7. Every one is unhappy. 8. So much politics. 9. Every one begging for projects like anything. 10. Full of Sadness everywhere. 11. To much working hours. 12. False committment to clients cause people suffer at downstream. 13. pathetic toxic environment , mostly the support teams like HR and FInance are full of incompetent people . no work culture in support teams , no support to employees. Exit experience is pathetic .

1. There is enough potential for growth if you like to work in the offshore segment. 2. The salary is good. 3. Good experience if you want to move out of India in other AC's or Onshore teams. Although there have been less opportunity to move to the onshore team recently.

Dislikes

1. There is no concept of work life balance. There seems to be busy season all around the year specially in EUM and TMT Industry. 2. If your manager has a habbit of micromanagement then it is going to be very difficult to grow in your job. 3. Minimal to no client facing audit experience.

There is a lot of learning opportunity and if you are willing to do the hard yards, you will get recognition from the upper management for your good work.

Dislikes

Too Much unnecessary work pressures and tight deadlines. Also, they expect you to work in multiple projects simultaneously. Mostly the leads are totally work-focussed so your work life balance is not a concern for anyone.

Salary, Appraisal, Promotion is good here and people get that without much followup and request.

Dislikes

No job security Short term projects. Random project assignment irrespective your skillets.
