I joined as a psychologist for an ambitious project that the company had taken up. I thank the management for having initiated efforts in the field of AI/ ML and roped in professinals from social sceince field. I cannot think of any other reason.

Dislikes

Management (All of R&D)- The aboslute worst! It's a depressive atmosphere with sadistic and micro-managing managers. No matter what you do, whether you finish your deliverables or not, they will always find a way to criticise and threaten to relieve you. Unappreciative and generally clueless about work. Our team literally decided tasks on our own and delivered them while the manager came into calls all listless and asked- 'So, what's going on?' EVERYDAY. They will censure and blame you for their mistakes. Will not encourage any recognition for awards won. I have worked full shifts on numerous saturdays and sundays but I DID NOT receive a single compensatory off in my entire 3 years stint in Jade. My manager took objection to me availing bus facility as he wanted me to stay long hours in office. Several times I have left for home at 1am/ 2 am in the night. While I was on my notice period, I availed a WFH for two days. Even though it was approved, my manager threatened to relieve me if I asked for any more WFH. He also told me that WFH is not allowed during notice period and that it was on the policy. No such policy exists. I was told that my variable pay, innovation bonus will be withdrawn If I did not comply with the practices of the rest of the team (work late at nights, mostly from office). Threatening behavior is constant here, too much micro-managing, no recognition for hard working employees. Management (All of Jade)- Senior management in the US are ostriches with their heads inside the ground, completely oblivious to what's happening at India operations even though India office has the maximum number of employees. Salary-Too low and tons of work Women workers- Team Leads/ Managers expect women workers to stay back in office till late. I have stayed until very late (3am) in office as the manager expects that out of you. There's always work. Nothing else. Extreme criticism, no appreciation or recognition for talent or ideas. The most unprofessional of all managers are here. Note: Not a good place for women workers. Underpaid, not recognised & forced to work late.
