A. Great work life balance fornVP community. Offers flexibility to manage other business interest; delegate work to Juniors and log in at 12 or 1 or 2, whenever one gets time. Set your status on teams as Busy. 2. Opportunity to take credit of juniors; open and transparent announceme t in Townhall - no promotions for Directors and ADs - gives Strong sense of security to in competent VPs to survive and thrive. They will continue to do what they want and keep on working as POSTMASTER- Forwarding mails of Jniors as theory and sending work as FYI&A. 3. Create a huge army of ADs and Ds under a single VP in India and one in the US - no thinking on lines of Span of control. VP is so neck deep in work; he can't Conduct a Townhall in TWO years... finally one happening... Other one sitting in the US plays the role of another level of international post master - whether a CE of a PM.. we do not know.. But is a great orator.. one keeps on thinking after the discussion what was the topic amd what's the key takeaways. Indian VP is extra smart- will take all the key takeaways from the junior and presenting as his own... will remain silent and sober.. but will capitalize on the work of juniors.. an army of dirctors serving under him allows him 6he comfort of logging in at 10 am for 10 min.. ten at 12 or 2 for 10 min.. amd then at 7 for half an hour.. but the status is always busy when he logs in.. always a ping away.. the away status become green.. alert set in.....Read More

1. Think of giving credit to people who makes the hand dirty. In Competent VPs takes away the credit. SEMMS A NPTCH HIGHER THAN vP layer doesn't want ro communicative with D and AD layer.. This has led to this behavior by VP 2. Ask VP ro come ro office 4 days a week and dicuss their POVs with folks on floor. They are not doing g sales.. they are not doing ops work.. work of a POST MASTER can be done stirring on the floor with everyone.. FOR calls you can come ro Cabin.. Come atleast talk ro people on floor.. People on the floor doesn't know who the person is... Is he from the IR vertical or some other... 3. Do some brain storming session.. idea doesn't come from the top.. they steal the ideas of juniors amd present as theirs.. 4. Do a check on other business I terest as you do as BGC doe new joiners... might be the reason for logging in so late and be available for hardly a couple of hours..lead by example.. let them come ro office 5 days.. it's not VP comes at 12 and leaves at 3 ro beat traffic. 5. Check for reasons why he is so protective about one account rather then other accounts.. not bothered.. 6. Being old in the system amd knowing the nerves is the trick.. Mantra is do not voice your opinion, keep mouth shut in meetings.. be in good books of everyone.. pass on the blame to your senior.. WHAT TO DO my boss does not allow me to do it.. he is like this or that.. 7. Both the VPs seldom give any chance ro juniors to travel.. One will eat up.all the chances for APAC amthe other for the US... Best part is juniors never come ro know about the travel opportunities... 8. Can write a Bible on mis management.. need to stop... 9. Get some life to IR.. Hire Competent senior folks.. change the leadership... 10. One is you make an effort ro grow.. if things do not work out it's fine.. but if the narrative is that Research can't grow and keep on sitting on it.. it's fundamentally wrong . Try.. doesn't happen.. it's fine.. atleast the VP will get out of comfort zones and other business interests, if any 10.plz plz plz ask VPs ro come ro office 6 days to office at fixed timings.. - Salary is credited on time. - Coffee machines are available in offices (Though very low quality) - Seniors don't beat juniors, they keeps the thing limited to insultation.

Dislikes

(All the below points are based on my own experience at Evalueserve. I witnessed the following practices in my cluster, possibly the worst cluster with one of the highest attrition rate in company) - Pathetic work culture. Junior employees are treated as literal "Majdoor". Working 12+ hours a day is appreciated. - Mid senior to senior level people were some respect seeking morons. They want their subordinates to worship them as Gods. - Incompetent D or AD come up with bogus heavyweight projects with unrealistic deadlines. Analyst and Senior Analyst level people suffer, as most of the work loads are directly put on their shoulders. - Promotions and increments are only for "chaatu people", who provides special attentions and appearances to their managers. Hard work and efficiency is the second priority in year end evaluation, "chaaukarita" is prioritized most. If you are a great manager pleaser or awesome eye candy, you get a full rating, either you work or not. - If you are a woman and if you can talk sweetly to your manager, if you can go to the cafeteria with manager on an average 2 times a day, YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO ANY FURTHER OFFICE WORK. Your promotion and job security is your manager's responsibility. - The office mess provides foods worse than college hostels, rather they charge around 100 rupees for a meal. - Lacks ethical leadership, they just chase numbers and treat employees as revenue generating machines....Read More
