There is a lot of politics, and they don't give a good appraisal. The HR dept doesn't keep your complaints secrets so don't trust those people's promises. The HR people don't take action against your complaint about your higher people.

I would suggest to inform the holiday in prior. Since here they are announcing on a day before holiday, the people who are far away from chennai couldn't plan to visit their native place.
