I have concerns regarding ICICI Bank's compensation and work culture. Specifically: - Salary: The bank offers significantly lower salaries (4-6 LPA) to Tier 3 college graduates with 5-6 years of experience, including B.Tech/M.Tech degrees, compared to freshers from top-tier1 colleges for similar work. - Workload: Employees are oftenoverloaded with excessive work, leading to undue stress. - Bias: There appears to be a bias towards hiring and promoting graduates from Tier 1 colleges. - Promotion and hikes: Opportunities for growth and salary increases seem limited. - Work environment: Some senior managers allegedly create a toxic work environment, exhibiting unprofessional behavior towards female employees and using aggressive language. - Leave policies: Junior employees are often denied leave, including PL, CL, and sick leave, while senior managers enjoy their weekends and week days as well. - Business ethics: The bank's management practices seem to lack business ethics and morals towards gender specific. - Expectation of constant availability: Junior employees, including those in Designation/Department (DE), are expected to be available 24/7, including weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and off-days, which is unsustainable and blurs the line between personal and professional life. - No compensation for extra work: Employees are not provided with compensatory off (comp-off) for working extra days or hours, leading to burnout and impacting work-life balance....Read More

Working here is like you are working in a government office. No one knows anything. So you will get more penic and big Chaos.

Dislikes

No skill development for the external employee. No promotions even if you get it by any chance you will hardly get hike of 3 or 4 % Also they'll treat you like a student. Soon you will feel like you are going to a school not for the work.

The best thing about the organisation is it's work Life balance, there fare to bank fare to customer approach. In ICICI seniors are not allowed to pressure employee. Easy to crack business

The most dislike thing was they have college based promotion system, means if someone is graduated from best institute, he/she will get promoted even if their performance is below average.

Stay jobless, but don't work in this company, as they'll ask to carry your laptop while getting admitted in the hospital, they won't care about your well being, they only care about sales.

They don't care about your work-life balance, they don't care about your personal problems, they don't care whether you're mentally stable or not. They won't care about you or your efforts and your family doesn't exist for them. All they care about is sales

Pay is huge. But life is hard in icici.

Culture is highly toxic. Highly autocratic supervisory and assembly line work routine. Employees are seen as work skippers or lazyheads. Knowledge, information or experience do not matter here. You just need to work like a machine. Office premises resemble a godown with broken chairs, no ventilation with non-functional acs and fans.For the money, employees are expected to drain their physical, mental, personal and emotional well being within the office itself. Work life balance of ICICI bank indeed one of the key area and culture was good enough earlier. Bank has change it ways of working since couple of years and still many things changing in sales oriented culture.

Not specific but culture of the bank has been changed drastically and demanding overall product has ruined actual DNA of ICICIBANK .

Icici is a very good place to work but my review is bad because of my previous branch manager and my deputy branch manager as I can’t control my emotions . Still ICICI is the best private sector bank to work with. I am very happy that I am a part of ICICI. I will be forever appreciate the bank.

Dislikes

Some of the middle management and audit teams are involving the branches and wrong potrait to super officials. Low level lady staff are working for only salary not for organisation. They will escalate the small things to HR also.
