I have concerns regarding ICICI Bank's compensation and work culture. Specifically: - Salary: The bank offers significantly lower salaries (4-6 LPA) to Tier 3 college graduates with 5-6 years of experience, including B.Tech/M.Tech degrees, compared to freshers from top-tier1 colleges for similar work. - Workload: Employees are oftenoverloaded with excessive work, leading to undue stress. - Bias: There appears to be a bias towards hiring and promoting graduates from Tier 1 colleges. - Promotion and hikes: Opportunities for growth and salary increases seem limited. - Work environment: Some senior managers allegedly create a toxic work environment, exhibiting unprofessional behavior towards female employees and using aggressive language. - Leave policies: Junior employees are often denied leave, including PL, CL, and sick leave, while senior managers enjoy their weekends and week days as well. - Business ethics: The bank's management practices seem to lack business ethics and morals towards gender specific. - Expectation of constant availability: Junior employees, including those in Designation/Department (DE), are expected to be available 24/7, including weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and off-days, which is unsustainable and blurs the line between personal and professional life. - No compensation for extra work: Employees are not provided with compensatory off (comp-off) for working extra days or hours, leading to burnout and impacting work-life balance....Read More

The best thing about the organisation is it's work Life balance, there fare to bank fare to customer approach. In ICICI seniors are not allowed to pressure employee. Easy to crack business

The most dislike thing was they have college based promotion system, means if someone is graduated from best institute, he/she will get promoted even if their performance is below average.

Stay jobless, but don't work in this company, as they'll ask to carry your laptop while getting admitted in the hospital, they won't care about your well being, they only care about sales.

They don't care about your work-life balance, they don't care about your personal problems, they don't care whether you're mentally stable or not. They won't care about you or your efforts and your family doesn't exist for them. All they care about is sales

I am in product manager in ICICI Bank. This review is based on my experience, it can differ from person to person.Work life balance is good for me as we don't have too much pressure and stress. Salary and other benefits are also good. There is no appraisal system, therefore no leg pulling or working in silos is there which is very important for big organisation especially established banks. This very boon also have some cons like there are fixed increament at annual level which are close to 9% at mid management level and 4-5% at leadership levels. Additionally, the promotion happens in every 3 yrs(which is fixed based on your work experience and education level) till you reach leadership level and with each promotion you get salary hike of around 25% and from CM1 level you start to get Esops as well. Furthermore, there are fixed working hours from 9:15-5:15 for me and strictly no work from home policy. You have to be present physically everyday at ofc. Trust me when I say, it's only for people who can't crack any other job. Indian retail banking is for low IQs. I had to upgrade and work on myself. I realized it late. Look, it's my personal experience including the way managers treat their reportees; From my time in icici, I think you can do better than ICICI. Keep trying.

I am having a bad experience only because of the manager as she is micro managing and unnecessarily shouts at things that has 0 value addition to the tasks. It is a brand whenever we reach to any client he atlist offered us a chair to sit and listen what we say where in other bank it is very difficult to convince about product.

Time of branch closure and Branch Manager screening is next to absorb every day branch closes at 8.30pm we reach home at very late hence we can't spend a quality time with family. Hence our enery label remains low when we enter into a fresh day start.

Employee management by sales and business instead of HR department and internal politics is the only reason of attrition of employees. An employee of I bank will never think to quite but the senior management internal politics forced them to quite because of honesty.
