Dear HSCian, We would like to thank you for your valuable contributions at HSC and are glad that the parameters of hybrid working mode, work life balance, food & job security found a mention in the likes section of your review. Coming to the dislikes section of your review, you have made some vague, misleading and generic comments without providing any context or information. Making such comments without any information only affects your credibility and showcases your unprofessional approach towards your workplace. As is known to each HSCian, we follow an open-door policy at HSC and employees irrespective of hierarchy can talk to their managers, engineering group heads, engineering head or for that matter even to Mr. Vinod Sood, MD. What you may have misconstrued as politics could be a case of misunderstanding or miscommunication, which if you would have had talked about with your manager then you would not have been making generic statements on a public platform. While there can seldom be done if one has made up their mind but we would still encourage you to either do what is mentioned above or you can also leverage HSC’s internal platforms like Amber, Q2M, Zero Hour and share your concerns and suggestions anonymously, if you wish so. We would also like to address the readers of the review through you that HSC works for leading OEM’s and product companies around the globe. From the three state-of-the-art R&D centres, we are currently working on projects in the areas of 5G, Satellite Communication, Software Defined Networks, NFV, Enterprise Applications, IoT, AI/ML, Cloud, Security, Embedded Systems, Test Automation, etc. And around latest Digital Technologies like Cloud, AI & ML, NoSQL/SQL databases, Microservices architecture, Spring boot, Angular, React, Python, Django, Selenium. In Wireless, we are working on most cutting-edge work in the 5G, O-RAN, Software Defined Radio, LTE, M-plane, Network Function Virtualization and satellite communication, Embedded development using C, Linux, Microcontroller, RPA etc. Coming to your comment on “no new learning”, had you actually have had a conversation regarding your learning aspirations with your manager, they would have directed you towards the Centers of Excellence, where in you can learn and interact with likeminded engineers to work & innovate on technology of your choice. At HSC, our dedicated Learning & Development team also conducts training seminars & workshops for engineers on a regular interval and for which one can nominate themselves. We also conduct monthly Tech Talks, which facilitate learning of newer technologies. The opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies with global clients and learning from the best tech minds by working alongside, HSC offers an all-round learning experience with positive long-term effects on the growth of every HSCian. Nevertheless, we hope many more years of your happy association with HSC.

Dear HSCian, It is quite unfortunate that at Hughes Systique you like “nothing”. When one has made up their mind to find “everything” as “pathetic”, there is really seldom much can be done to change the opinion. And especially when the information provided is vague and generic. At HSC, we have median tenure of HSCians at an impressive figure of 6.5 years and some of the associations going back more than 10 years and counting. In this day and age where of fierce competition, it would make no sense for employees to work for so long at an organisation where there is “no skill development”. Also, an organisation that has been on the growth path with a rich technical legacy since the last 18 years like us would not have been so if “everything” was “pathetic” in it. Rather than making generic comments on a public platform, we would encourage you to talk to your manager, engineering group head, engineering head or for that matter Mr. Vinod Sood, MD, and discuss your concerns or suggestions. For we walk the talk when it comes to following the open-door policy. You can also share your concerns or suggestions and anonymously also if you wish, on internal platforms like Q2M, Amber, Zero Hour etc. We wish many more years of your happy association with us.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your approving review on the opportunities, latest technology and the management of Hughes Systique. We are glad that you have found working at HSC to be a beneficial experience. However, addressing a few points from your review’s “dislikes” section, we would like through you the readers of the review to note that as an organization we believe in continuous learning and growth of our engineers. For the uninformed, HSC supports inter-project movements where engineers have an opportunity to work in areas of their interest. It is our sentiment to support the engineers who take the initiative on themselves for their learning & growth, with the organization providing them all the support that they need. The “doers” always stand out. Nonetheless, on a broader and organisational level, every year the learning objectives and plans for the current year are agreed with the manager & supported by HR. The learning could happen through the year in multiple ways – Classroom training, Online trainings, Reading Books/Papers, etc, on on-job assignments. Engineers are encouraged to take online courses & certifications, and on successful completion all cost is completely refunded by HSC. Kindly also note that the Centres Of Excellence (CoEs) publish assignments & PoC that can be taken up by engineers along with the regular work to learn technology areas. For your comment on processes, they provide us a framework for development and having practices to monitor progress & ensure timely completion of work. We continuously review process to ensure that processes are not an overhead, remove redundant processes and wherever possible automate the processes. Finally, addressing your observation on the “timesheet”, we hope you have noticed that with the new update and the launch of the app in December 2022, the time taken to fill in the timesheet has been reduced to seconds. We would have encouraged you to talk to your manager, engineering group head or engineering had you continued working with us and learn more about the CoEs & other learning avenues at HSC to help clear your misunderstanding. But nevertheless, we wish you the best and thank you for your contributions at HSC.

Also, to ensure a healthy balance of work and life, at HSC we have a policy on flexible working hours, which by definition, explains that we do not observe strict office timings. Flexi Time policy helps ensure that HSCians get break to rejuvenate themselves after extended hours. Dear HSCian, Firstly, welcome to Hughes Systique, we would also like to thank you for highlighting in your review about the new tech that HSCians get to work in. Keeping updated with the technology in the ever so dynamic engineering sector is why HSC has been a preferred choice for so many of our global clients. Since you have been associated for a period of less than a year and with virtual onboarding & remote working, it can often become a hinderance in developing healthy team bonding. That is why we have also introduced a hybrid style of working for easier transition of new members into the teams. We suggest that you talk to your manager or engineering group head, as it is very unlikely that the whole team & all colleagues are not likeable, as mentioned in your feedback. As per your review all aspects are ‘poor’, including salary & benefits, which we are sure would have been clearly explained to you before you accepted the offer. Why would anyone accept something that was perceived as ‘poor’ in the first place itself? You have appreciated ‘working on New Edge Technologies’, then it seems contradictory to say skill development is ‘poor’. You may want to introspect, in the interest of your own professional satisfaction & success. We would also like you to know that there are forums like Amber, Q2M, Zero Hour etc. at HSC through which you can share concerns or suggestions that you might have, even anonymously if you wish to do so.
