Cultural activities are good. Lunch is provided
Company politics becomes a blocker in ones growth. Even after working hard you will get less wage due to same. There is a need of normalisation of salary.

Employer’s Response
Dear HSCian, While we are glad that HSC’s cultural engagements and lunch have found a mention in the likes section of your review, we would also like to thank you for your contributions at HSC. We believe what you may have perceived as politics could actually be a case of misunderstanding and miscommunication. For there are always two sides & perspectives to any claim. As you must be knowing that HSC is the first organization in the world to be appriased with CMMi level – 5 certification for the three domains of Development, Services and People. As an extension, your claim of “less wage” even after hard work, stands invalid, and is misguiding & vague as all our working processes are defined by well prescribed guidelines, without adhering to which we could not have attained such certifications. Also, with a substantial number of our employees being associated with us for more than 10 years, it would not have been so in case was no “normalisation of salary”. We would urge you to kindly talk to your manager, engineering group head, engineering head or for that matter with Mr. Vinod Sood, MD, for we do not shy away from such conversations and walk the talk when it comes to following the open-door policy. You can also leverage internal platforms like Amber, Zero Hour, Q2M etc. to share your concerns and suggestions anonymously, if you wish so. Nevertheless, we wish many more years of your happy association with us.

Salary on time,
Less salary Minimum appraisal Promotion with very minimum increament. Sometimes work on weekend due to client pressure. Seniors managers ignore junior working on off days. Had to work late hours because client is god for company and employee are nothing.

Employer’s Response
Dear HSCian, We would like to start by thanking you for your valuable contributions at HSC. Coming to the dislikes section of your review, we believe that you have already made up your mind to write generic, misleading & vague comments rather than providing more context for the benefit of the readers of this review. To start with, irrespective of the sector or scale of any business or organisation, customers are an integral part of the revenue earning process, and we are sure that even you would agree that no organisation can truly prosper if they do not prioritize their customers. But at HSC, just like customer centricity, employee centricity also acts as a cornerstone to our foundational values. These are the same values that have resulted in a rich technical & engineering legacy of over 18 years. We are also fortunate to have HSCians who have been with us since our inception and the media tenure at HSC stands at an impressive 6.4 years. In these competitive times and the sector we are operating in, it would not have been possible for an organisation to be on the growth path that we are on without the support of their employees. However, yes, we do agree that there are times when just like any other software and engineering services company, customer & at times, phase of the project do influence our working routine. That is why HSC has a policy on flexible working hours, which by definition, explains that we do not observe strict office timings. As you must also be knowing that the Flexi Time policy helps ensure that HSCians get break to rejuvenate themselves after extended hours. Since we believe what you might be experiencing could be a case of miscommunication, we would encourage you to talk to your manager, engineering group head, engineering head or for that matter with Mr. Vinod Sood, MD. As we walk the talk when it comes to following the open-door policy. You can also leverage the internal platforms like Q2M, Zero Hour, Amber etc. to share your concerns and suggestions anonymously if you wish so. Nevertheless, we wish many more years of your happy association with us.

Employer’s Response
Dear HSCian, We would like to thank you for your valuable contributions at HSC and are glad that the parameters of hybrid working mode, work life balance, food & job security found a mention in the likes section of your review. Coming to the dislikes section of your review, you have made some vague, misleading and generic comments without providing any context or information. Making such comments without any information only affects your credibility and showcases your unprofessional approach towards your workplace. As is known to each HSCian, we follow an open-door policy at HSC and employees irrespective of hierarchy can talk to their managers, engineering group heads, engineering head or for that matter even to Mr. Vinod Sood, MD. What you may have misconstrued as politics could be a case of misunderstanding or miscommunication, which if you would have had talked about with your manager then you would not have been making generic statements on a public platform. While there can seldom be done if one has made up their mind but we would still encourage you to either do what is mentioned above or you can also leverage HSC’s internal platforms like Amber, Q2M, Zero Hour and share your concerns and suggestions anonymously, if you wish so. We would also like to address the readers of the review through you that HSC works for leading OEM’s and product companies around the globe. From the three state-of-the-art R&D centres, we are currently working on projects in the areas of 5G, Satellite Communication, Software Defined Networks, NFV, Enterprise Applications, IoT, AI/ML, Cloud, Security, Embedded Systems, Test Automation, etc. And around latest Digital Technologies like Cloud, AI & ML, NoSQL/SQL databases, Microservices architecture, Spring boot, Angular, React, Python, Django, Selenium. In Wireless, we are working on most cutting-edge work in the 5G, O-RAN, Software Defined Radio, LTE, M-plane, Network Function Virtualization and satellite communication, Embedded development using C, Linux, Microcontroller, RPA etc. Coming to your comment on “no new learning”, had you actually have had a conversation regarding your learning aspirations with your manager, they would have directed you towards the Centers of Excellence, where in you can learn and interact with likeminded engineers to work & innovate on technology of your choice. At HSC, our dedicated Learning & Development team also conducts training seminars & workshops for engineers on a regular interval and for which one can nominate themselves. We also conduct monthly Tech Talks, which facilitate learning of newer technologies. The opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies with global clients and learning from the best tech minds by working alongside, HSC offers an all-round learning experience with positive long-term effects on the growth of every HSCian. Nevertheless, we hope many more years of your happy association with HSC.

Nothing
No skill development, everything is pathetic
Employer’s Response
Dear HSCian, It is quite unfortunate that at Hughes Systique you like “nothing”. When one has made up their mind to find “everything” as “pathetic”, there is really seldom much can be done to change the opinion. And especially when the information provided is vague and generic. At HSC, we have median tenure of HSCians at an impressive figure of 6.5 years and some of the associations going back more than 10 years and counting. In this day and age where of fierce competition, it would make no sense for employees to work for so long at an organisation where there is “no skill development”. Also, an organisation that has been on the growth path with a rich technical legacy since the last 18 years like us would not have been so if “everything” was “pathetic” in it. Rather than making generic comments on a public platform, we would encourage you to talk to your manager, engineering group head, engineering head or for that matter Mr. Vinod Sood, MD, and discuss your concerns or suggestions. For we walk the talk when it comes to following the open-door policy. You can also share your concerns or suggestions and anonymously also if you wish, on internal platforms like Q2M, Amber, Zero Hour etc. We wish many more years of your happy association with us.

#There's nothing to like, the culture here has already made their clients treat HSC's employees very badly. #Would recommend you, to keep this job offer as your last resort.
#If you complain about anything be it client, salary, work-life balance, or responsibilities the only response you'll get is "We are CMMI Level 5, we have this and that certification, which implies we are the best company, hence we'll ignore you. #Worst salary benefits and appraisal. #Micromanagement with daily morning and evening standup calls #There's no EOD, as you are expected to support client day and night and attend multiple evening calls with clients after working hours, they don't want to waste money hiring employees for EST time for client support, day shift developers are expected to do that too, and to hide this they say we have flexible working hours. #Higher management is there in the company since its inception and they already know what is happing so doesn't matter who you complain to and what you complain about, things will remain the same. #Lots of documents on task reporting with minute details simply to micromanage #The worst daily task reporting software you could see in your life, it's called IPTS, it takes 2-3 days for an employee to fill in IPTS details every month and get it approved, this piece of software should be put in a museum to represent what a software bug is....Read More

Employer’s Response
Dear Anonymous, On July 09, 2023, an identical review was posted on this portal, also by a “Senior Software Engineer”. That review was deleted by the author after a point-by-point response was made by the management. The probability of such a coincidence, at such short time indicates a pattern that the author seems to have resorted to now after having been confronted with all the facts and figures. We once again would like to highlight that all the comments that you have made in your review only go on to showcase nobody else but only you in a bad light and highlights your unprofessional attitude. In the greater interest of providing clarity to the readers of this review, we will once again answer your misleading and vague comments. As you already know that we are a PCMM & CMMi Level 5 certified organization, please also note that there are only a handful of organisations in the world which HSC is a part of. The very fact that you are oblivious to the importance that this feat holds for an organization also speaks volumes about your industry and organizational knowledge. Being a PCMM & CMMi Level 5 certified organisation also means that the organisation is equipped with proper framework & policies in place to ensure that our people are treated well and respected at all levels and at all times which is above & beyond acknowledging it in one’s organizational school of thought. An organization on a growth path for more than 16 years cannot sustain this competitive market if its clients “treat HSC’s employees badly” and would surely not continue to retain them if that was the case. As mentioned in our earlier response also, some of our clients have been with us since our inception and that is only possible if there is mutual respect for each other. Your claim is not substantiated and backed by any fact whereas we have our strong client associations speaking for themselves. At HSC, we walk the talk when it comes to following the open-door policy. HSCians across departments and hierarchy are always encouraged to talk to their managers, engineering group head, engineering head or for that matter even our MD, Mr. Vinod Sood. They can also share their concerns or suggestions through internal platforms like Amber, Q2M, Zero Hour, My Ideas Matter etc. Even though you have already made up your mind that there is “nothing to like”, we advise you to utilize any of the platforms mentioned above in case you haven’t done so. Also, we would like to reiterate that we have never in the past or present either advertised or aspired as such to be in the topmost quartile as far as compensation is concerned. Our benefits package along with people centric work environment, an enabling family like culture and opportunity to work on cutting edge technologies for global customers makes us one of the best companies to work for in our industry. Our long-term association with employees lasting more than 16 years or the fact that the median tenure year is 5.6 years at HSC also provides credentials to the kind of culture that we offer and the compensation and benefits that comes alongwith it. Unlike your claim without any fact or basis, we can back our culture, people and policies with facts. Contrary to your comment that we “ignore” the concerns of our employees, employee centricity acts as a cornerstone to our foundational values. But yes, we do agree that sometimes while chasing deadlines for certain projects, the timelines between our professional and personal lives gets blurred just like any other software and engineering services company. That is why HSC has a policy on flexible working hours, which by definition, explains that we do not observe strict office timings. Flexi Time policy helps ensure that HSCians get break to rejuvenate themselves after extended hours. Only if you would have had taken the time and effort to know your organisation more. Also, your comments once again show your limited knowledge of the processes and the ITES sector as a whole. A review should be written with the intent of helping fellow readers. But unfortunately, your review carries sweeping generic statements that are without any basis, facts. Some of the review comments sadly reflect on the learning skills of reviewer itself. There seems to be difficulty in accomplishing a simple task of filling the IPTS! Even when managers & team members are always there to clarify and are themselves too filling it up. With launch of our new app in December 2022, it hardly takes minutes to update the task list now. But of course, you left that part out in your review. For the benefit of the readers, we have responded in detail to each of your comments about HSC. It may be prudent to do some introspection & work on your own improvement areas as well. Thank you.

Everything depends on which technology and client you are working with, the company is very understanding, and management is good, if you work on internal projects, you will get a feel of working for a product-based company. No cons as such.
The typical role-based growth, if frontend you will be stuck in Front-end only, the environment of development is slow as hell for some projects, and you have to use shared machines, which sometimes irritates you. Their time sheet filling system takes more than 4 hours, they should change the process. More processes than development. Thanks

Employer’s Response
Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your approving review on the opportunities, latest technology and the management of Hughes Systique. We are glad that you have found working at HSC to be a beneficial experience. However, addressing a few points from your review’s “dislikes” section, we would like through you the readers of the review to note that as an organization we believe in continuous learning and growth of our engineers. For the uninformed, HSC supports inter-project movements where engineers have an opportunity to work in areas of their interest. It is our sentiment to support the engineers who take the initiative on themselves for their learning & growth, with the organization providing them all the support that they need. The “doers” always stand out. Nonetheless, on a broader and organisational level, every year the learning objectives and plans for the current year are agreed with the manager & supported by HR. The learning could happen through the year in multiple ways – Classroom training, Online trainings, Reading Books/Papers, etc, on on-job assignments. Engineers are encouraged to take online courses & certifications, and on successful completion all cost is completely refunded by HSC. Kindly also note that the Centres Of Excellence (CoEs) publish assignments & PoC that can be taken up by engineers along with the regular work to learn technology areas. For your comment on processes, they provide us a framework for development and having practices to monitor progress & ensure timely completion of work. We continuously review process to ensure that processes are not an overhead, remove redundant processes and wherever possible automate the processes. Finally, addressing your observation on the “timesheet”, we hope you have noticed that with the new update and the launch of the app in December 2022, the time taken to fill in the timesheet has been reduced to seconds. We would have encouraged you to talk to your manager, engineering group head or engineering had you continued working with us and learn more about the CoEs & other learning avenues at HSC to help clear your misunderstanding. But nevertheless, we wish you the best and thank you for your contributions at HSC.

Employer’s Response
Dear HSCian, We are glad that you atleast found HSC’s Gurugram campus to be “good”. It seems that you have already made up your mind on disliking your organisation for your comments lack any context, are vague & generic and misleading. HSC as an organisation is CMMI Level 5 certified and became the first company globally to be appraised at Maturity Level 5, in the combined benchmarking appraisal for the three domains of Development, Services and People. By extension, an organization with “poor” management, inefficient HR cannot sustain or exist and create a legacy since the last 18 years as we have done. When you say that HSC is working on older technologies, kindly note that with three state-of-the-art R&D centres, we are working on multiple projects using the latest Digital Technologies like Cloud, AI & ML, NoSQL/SQL databases, Microservices architecture, Spring boot, Angular, React, Python, Django, Selenium. In Wireless we are working on most cutting-edge work in the 5G, O-RAN, Software Defined Radio, LTE, M-plane, Network Function Virtualization and satellite communication, Embedded development using C, Linux, Microcontroller, RPA etc. HSC being an Engineering Services Organization, constant learning of new technologies and staying abreast with the latest advancement is an integral part of the organization. There is a Learning Plan that every engineer puts together as part of their Yearly objectives. Also had you have had a conversation regarding your learning aspirations with your manager before taking to the public platform, they would have directed you towards the Centers of Excellence, where in you can learn and interact with likeminded engineers to work & innovate on technology of your choice. At HSC, our dedicated Learning & Development team also conducts training seminars & workshops for engineers on a regular interval and for which one can nominate themselves. You could have also leveraged the internal platforms like Amber, Q2M, Zero Hour etc. and share your suggestions anonymously, if you wish so.
