Rating: 1/5 Review: Working at HCL Technologies has been a challenging experience due to multiple areas of concern: Work-Life Balance: Almost nonexistent. Employees are expected to put in long hours with little flexibility, making it difficult to maintain a healthy balance. Career Growth: Opportunities for promotions are extremely limited, regardless of performance or dedication. Career advancement feels stagnant. Compensation: Salary hikes and bonuses are rare, even for high-performing employees. This lack of incentive is demotivating and undervalues employee contributions. Work Environment: The workplace culture is far from ideal. It often feels toxic and unstructured, making day-to-day work more stressful. Leadership and Management: Poor leadership and ineffective management further add to the challenges, creating a lack of direction and support. Marketing vs. Reality: The company’s marketing campaigns and advertisements portray an image of growth, opportunities, and a positive work environment, but my experience has been quite the opposite. In HCL salary breakup is a biggest scam. Because if you are joining company with 15 LPA, your take home will be around 95K. Remaining 30k is not assured to return to you. So please dont join HCL if your family is fully depends only on your salary.

Liers, in press conferences they said appraisals will be given to employees in OCTOBER while they have not even provided it till December and is expected to move forward to JAN OR FEB which was earlier expected for July. In short since 2 years no appraisals. Moreover forget about appraisals, they will even cut your EPB component. They don’t even have any process for deciding EPB payout, they randomly decide it. Sometime provide 80% for 9 score, sometime 50% for same 9 score...Read More

Good company, work life balance and job satisfaction

Appraisal cycle is very bad. It extends till months. Employee only hopes to stick to same team, manager and project till the letters are released. Any organizational changes within this 9-10 months of period screws the whole appraisal for an employee.

Now company has started working on new technologies and trying to make a product out of it, I am part of that team. So work satisfaction is there, along with no mandatory WFO ( it mostly depends on your project and manager).

Appraisals will be very less even if you are top performer. There are a lot of process involved to get certain approvals. No proper communication on hike cycle this time

One thing only that no one cares about you mean to say when are you coming or going to office...now it's upon you takes it positive or negative....HCLT or Wipro these companies are kind of Desi companies...if u r 3.1 + above band then 15-20 % salary they will make as bonus and wipe out
