I got opportunity to restart my job after a break.

Dislikes

Client is God, even if client is doing things unethically it cannot be highlighted. Some of my colleagues were badly abused and exploited, when they complaint, they were released from project without taking any actions. HCL fill seats of projects with family or friends of client which results in bad culture and dirty politics withinproject. Here people work for their own survival not for learning or innovation. HRs in HCL never respond or rudely respond to queries raised which further demotivate the zeal of a person working at HCL. Appraisal cycles are always delayed and postponed. Moreover they also deduct your salary on name on EPB monthly even after you got 9/10 rating....Read More

You don’t even get welcome kit when you join the company. No Diwali gift hampers and nothing. Almost 20% goes to variable pay and this has many conditions and you end up getting less variable pay. The yearly hikes are very very less you will get 1% or 2% and sometimes you get a appraisal letter at the year end and it will be writtenas no changes in your compensation, so no hike for you for complete year. Not a collabrative environment. We can't talk freely with managers for newperson coming to team It is like school when attending meeting even uncomfortable situation they making us to on video. Or else it will be escalated or absent in meeting like that. All are managers not easy to communicate. HCL software is the product domain of HCL Tech , I was working for their one of the product and the work culture was like service based company, company politics and internal favourism happens, HR are of no use , they are just puppets of upper management

It was my first it job and it was terrible. I was in project at the time of my maternity leave.my manager gave me low rating because of my maternity in annual performance and she gave me reason as budget issue.later my hr called me and ask to resign because of low rating.

1. working hours there is no time limit of your shift. 2. Shift timing is changed every week or 2 times in a month. 3. Transport team is very bad. 4. HR said ask your questions but they guys have no answer about Appraisal or Salary increment/ promotion. 5. Appraisal is very bad like 1-5% only.

There is not timing login and logout time restrictions when you go physically to work. But they have a tool to make sure you worked 8 hours a day. Which is good.

Dislikes

The managers don't know how to control their mouth. They talk like how a government employee will misbehave. And HRs are puppets of the managers and DU heads. Very poor env to work. Give you 150% they will treat like you did only 50% and influence your performance bonus badly. Managers take it personally if you talk against their mistake on their face.
