EY GDS is not what I was used to be prior covid. Many things have changed, too much internal politics, Team size have gone big which is impacting the overall culture and people have come up with their own ways to woo the higher managers/leadership and get a floor visibility. So its a harsh truth but yes its a fact.

Dislikes

People who are working here for more than 12-15 years have now moved to a leadership position. Now all they themselves are interested in pursuing their own hobbies (oustside work e.g. Yogam Travelling, Blogging, Youtube, etc) and expect juniors to work 24x7

Not happy with current work culture in EM.

There is an Assistant Director at Gurgaon Assurance EM who always pokes, finds fault at others, blames others and creates mentral trauma for his team members whom he does not like. He carries unconscious biasness and does favor to his loved ones only. Many from his span want to quit job because of him.

There is no like factor remain in EY. Highly negative environment. Management create wierd plans so that you make mistakes and escalations could be raised.

Dislikes

Politics Zero work life balance: you could be asked to cancel your approved leave and forced to work on festival like Holi and a night before Diwali. What worse you can think. Your body just left to work and zero time for your kids. Long hour meetings which could last till 1am. Post that you know you have pending task to complete otherwise escalations would come. There is no work life balance. You always have to be ready to satisfy the client needs even if that takes away ur personal life balance and leaves too .
