They forcefully make you work for 10 hours wherein offer says 9 hours. No one during the interview let you know that. There is no dedicated training team, you will have to learn and manage on our own No support especially when you relocate, they will literally bring you down on your knees to reimburse the amount No handholding for a new joiner

Great place to try out diverse project experiences if you have positive attitudes to learn everything. Leadership is passionate of new technology and client centricity. Pays competitive salary benefits may not be high at times but sustainable for long, rewarding association. Will recommend people to experience Cognizant.

Dislikes

If you remain too good on a domain, likely you will get trapped into it and not allowed to learn horizontal skills. So keeping a balance and relationship to horizontal people are important in any large project centric organization.

Its not a great place to work after Francis left from Organization. Work life imbalance, hike and promotion are very worst. Leadership wont follow HR policy like transfer, incentives etc. Where employee will claims money for their official work. Only leadership people are enjoying their life with greater salary package and their earnings. Current CEO is taking more pkg but gives very poor hike to employee like 1-2%. At a junior level, M and below, job security is extremely high. In past 3 years I didn't find organisation trying to fire people deliberately. In many cases poor performing people end up staying in the organisation enjoying the perks. Most junior people are protected the most. Another positive is everyone gets the same percentage of salary hike as per the Rating.

Promotions are restricted to Kolkata or Chennai people mainly, other city people have less preference as the seniors sit there. Same while giving important projects. I was told by another existing person when I joined but after 3 yrs, realising the same unfortunately. Politics is v v high. They just want to meet the numbers, evenif you manipulate or twist things, it's ok as there are no reviews. They just want to tick the boxes for the heck of it. Frequently changing revision cycles, changing promotions process and cycles and very less salary hikes. Also for the veteran employees, salary standards are very low compard to the market standards

Despite of project managers, the organization takes strict action against any misconduct which can be totally appreciated.

Being a female, our manager kept ignoring our complaints about s**ual harassment at work place and started victim blaming just because the culprit is a critical resource. Later upon escalating the matter some action was taken.

Very bad.. They will throw you out like anything.. Worst organization.. They wnt map you in a project they will ask you get allocated.. They wnt mind how much skill you are how you work hard previously and all.. If you not allocated into project they will pressure you to submit resignation and send you out
