The Company keeps its employees until they decide to leave.

Dislikes

The Company needs to respect its long term employees and their skills. They are not very keen to retain their experienced associates who want a better Pay-out and roles. They would rather "save money" by employing less experienced people than retaining experienced members. The Company also needs to stop playing on Employee good nature and be more transparent in its scope & plans. Having a hidden agenda and manipulating the employees to achieve that goal does not help with Employee-Employer trust. The Company also needs to provide proper Manager responsibilities training and ethics training to Managers on how to treat employees and make them feel comfortable to ensure efficient working. Wish there is much appreciation for the work we do..Managers are not seeing the effort we do and no appreciation is given..and the work timings are really too bad as we are extending the work even after completing the 10 hours of work

If you are someone who just needs the job as a side income and not as a path to build a good career and you are not among the highly ambitious ones then cognizant is the best option for you. Job security is there. Office culture is far far better than it's competitors such as Wipro or infy or even TCS to some extent. Work pressure is less.

Politics. Their yearly rating methods. The way they rate employees is completely flawed. The way they make the employees appear annual role development exams is terrible. I am a .net trained guy working in support non technical project here and they force me to write test for iOS development for which no formal training is given nordo they give any iOS developer position after clearing the exam. The exams are just to give ratings to the person based on test scores. Overall I had a very very bad experience here in cognizant and would consider coming to cognizant the single worst mistake of my life....Read More

Data related works but mainly production support. Cognizant's 80% of the projects are production support which is like doing janitor job in a parliament. It entitles one to say that he works in Indian Parliament but what portfolio he holds is the point.
