Dislikes
1. The salary payment date is not fixed; it varies each month, sometimes being on the 8th, 12th, or 18th, and at times even delayed until the 22nd.
2. They deduct your salary without providing any explanation or reason.
3. There is no HR team or representative, so when you face any issues, there is no one to address your concerns or provide support.
4. There is no training provided for future growth.
5. Official working hours are 8 per day on paper, but in reality, office hours extend by at least 2 extra hours. If assigned to a site, there is no fixed limit—work hours can stretch to 24 or even 48 hours. Despite joining as an engineer, you may be treated as a site supervisor or even as a laborer.
6. As a site engineer, you are required to handle multiple tasks beyond your job responsibilities, including site management, supervising all departments, and store keeping. At times, no labor support is provided for material handling, forcing you to personally carry and deliver heavy materials from the store to the workers, regardless of the weight.
7. There are always issues with labor payment after work is completed. Sometimes, to keep the work going, you may even have to pay the laborers from your own pocket. Additionally, there are constant challenges in making payments to third-party vendors.
8. You will always face issues getting reimbursed for expenses you personally cover, such as transport charges for materials delivered to the site at night or travel costs incurred when purchasing materials from nearby markets for site requirements.
9. The purchase team is highly inefficient and lacks technical knowledge. They are unfamiliar with the proper names and uses of materials, causing constant issues when ordering. As a result, materials often arrive after the deadline, leading to project delays.
10. Promotions are not based on skills or performance but on favoritism. If you know how to flatter the right people, you can get promoted even without knowing how to work or read designs.
11. Office location is not in kolkata, it's in srirampour, hoogli....Read More
