Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..

I shocked by looking at comments. Firstly, it's not a software company. It's a consultancy that files H1B Visas and takes money from them. Presently it's doesn't have any employees. It hire 1 or 2 employees and will not give them any salary for months and finally tell them that company is not earning any profits. Company space is aleased one and it won't pay any rent for them. There are many situations that building owners locked the company and electric department cut the power every month....Read More

The persons who commented here is not the actual employees worked here. There is no staff for this company. They collect the money for visa filings and later they won't respond to them. They are many cases filled on this company and the company CEO/MD won't come to India as many people filled cases on him for taking the money.
