Most of the senior developers work on dedicated client projects so, it becomes a responsibility for them to make the client happy. Now coming to the point why this is under dislike where this is a basic KRA of a senior developer. Well, this you will enjoy doing when you get a good client but, the situation becomes worse when the client is not friendly. Some of the good policies of our company like paid leave directly depend on the client. There are clients who want their developers to work on weekend/holidays to make up for work loss in paid leave whereas, some client does not complain about this. This more likely depends on the luck of the developer if he gets a good or, bad client but, the key thing is you have to keep your client happy regardless of their behaviour and make a long term relationship with the client and try to grow your team while working on a dedicated client-based project....Read More

For project discussion, Every project manager should sit with junior or mid level developer who are working under team lead. It is not good technique to take all developers work progress report from team lead. I know this is very hard to take report from developer from individually but at least one time/month. The main disadvantage is that maximum time Team lead is taking credit and hides developers hard work & knowledge contribution. So sometimes directly interaction with developer is needed....Read More
