Nothing was good here. Senior management is greedy for everything that comes. They want everything from appraisal to onsite visits for themselves. Birlasoft has a concept of dry promotions. They would be very miserable in giving appraisal. Most of company has testers and support engineers and very minimal of software development happens here

During my tenure at Birlasoft, as my project was good so, I had very good work life balance. I feel it mostly it depends on your manager. After certain level you have the variable income as well. Your manager can put you for VISA nominations after your certain tenure completion.

Dislikes

Increments. Promotions can be taken up after certain tenure only. No performance based bonus apart from the CTC..

There are not many benefits but freshers and 1-2 years experience persons will get good experience and knowledge.

I worked as a third party to ultratech cement production support project. Work load is at peaks most of the time and IT network infrastructure practice is poor at my location unit. Most of the Users don't have minimum basic knowledge on how to use the computers and what they are doing with it. All the old employees are mostly got the jobs through recommendation. Everything else are lies. Bringing people with a job description of architect and managers, afterwords asking them to contribute individually in support projects doesn’t boast honesty or integrity. Too many rules that has no impact on growth or productivity. Join only if you have no choice.

They release the offer letter very early.

Dislikes

As early as they release the offer letter, same way they release the employee too. No job security. Clients they work with are not professional and do micromanage. Once you are on bench, HR will call you and tell you to submit resignation right in front of her.

Company docks pay for taking a sick leave. Management does not honour work timings. Compensation is only negotiated at time of joining. No team building activities or budget. Higher management uses employees as use and throw, once tasks are done no appreciation or compensation is provided. Many false promises are made. Extremely poor appraisals lowest in the entire industry and no one listens to you if you ask for work in specific technology. HR's are always not reachable. They didn't help you in any manner. If you complaint about appraisal they ask to talk to manager and if they don't listen talk to their manager and the cycle goes on and on. Also Don't expect anything during festivals.

Senior management is pathetic. They talk rubbish, treat people like labour. Project is totally in the hands of seniors who are there in the company from 20. No involvement no transparency. There was no exit interview to highlight, even manager decided whether the employee will receive salary or not, based on their deliveries which is pathetic, also that’s not developer’s fault as their requirements keep on changing.
