No work life balance. At Kolkata location worst leave policy. You won't be allowed to take sick leave otherwise they will deduct half day salary for one day sick leave.

local politics in project, team members. even if you are senior and go into new project you will be considered as fresher. in name of women equality they are promoting women only even if they do deserve that promotion and when they are giving 0% hike to all in firm so neglecting male employee's in serious manner. there is no contactwith higher project management no culture here that senior management will connect to team member, you will only contact to your team lead only. so pray that your TL is good in nature and friendly....Read More

Promotion and hikes are based on buttering skills, favoritism and not on the hard work. Hardworking employees often end up with more tasks, while others work for few hours a day. Some projects require long hours like 12+ hours with very short break of 10 mins for lunch. There's noticeable leadership politics, team leaders and managers struggle to effectively manage teams. I have joined last year only in September. Until now work was okay.

Dislikes

The account am part of is making their own rules to follow on top of organisation rules for RTO. Also no transparency in work and team, we were asked to login and work for more than 10 hours. We were asked to go to office in day time and complete 6 hours in office and then come back home and login again till 10:30 to support client.

The Major Pros of Accenture is it's perks and attractive salary for which every employee crave for. Growth and learning is also captivating.

Dislikes

As I was in Customer Support, maybe due to this profile there is no work from home or hybrid culture, or any work life balance. This is totally personal comment and thought on this. Otherwise everything was good in working with Accenture.

There are some good projects with many opportunities to work on new tech.

1. Lots of untalented folks on-shore are just doing assistant jobs with inflated tech role titles, this puts all the pressure and work on clients and the off-shore teams. Management expects you to work >12+ hours a day if you are in a senior/lead role to offset the incompetence of the on-shore folks. There have been instances where off-shore resources were asked to extend for 16 hours/day. 2. There is a lot of petty politics and they follow no clear standards for hiring people for tech roles with a very low standard of interview process. 3. Managers treat senior folks like trading horses and do not care for their aspirations, you are locked to projects without any interviews or alignment with the tech skills under the pretext of organizational requirements and are forced to work. 4. HRs do not reply/respond to any employees unless you contact them through your People Leads or Managers. They tend to dismiss employee's concerns, simply reiterating management's perspective. 5. There is a significant discrepancy between the variable compensation mentioned in the offer letters and the actual amount disbursed by the payroll. 100% of LVB earned is never going to be >50% of your LVB mentioned in your offer letter....Read More

1. Timings are really bad especially in WFH. The work hours extend more than 12 hours. You don't have any personal time left. I worked in 2nd shift (12:30 to 9:30pm) but still people ping you at 2 am in the night expecting you to reply asap. You are expected to start responding from 11am in the morning till forever in night and attend late night calls which are scheduled for 11pm. 2. They don't give increment after the end of fiscal year. From last 2 years there has been no increment in salary. They just give you hopes that you will get it next year. You will not be able to grow financially here. 3. Managers dont listen to you. They make you work on saturdays and sundays without any comp-off or rewards. They also typically believe that 9 ladies together can deliver a baby in 1 month. They can ruin your career in name of PIP and insane expectations during PIP program.
