Interview Preparation Tips

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - My recent experience interviewing for a marketing role in this company was nothing short of a nightmare. I prepared thoroughly based on the job description, but the actual process was a complete circus.

To start, the first round was just an orientation, which no one even bothered to explain beforehand. By the time I got to the second round, I encountered an HR representative who seemed irritated for no reason. This person’s behavior was entirely unprofessional and disrespectful, with the interview not even beginning at the scheduled time. Clearly, punctuality and respect for candidates’ time mean nothing to your team.

On top of that, I was rudely scolded for not wearing formal attire—despite no dress code being mentioned in the interview invitation email. It's ridiculous to reprimand someone over a nonexistent rule. This was a failure in basic communication, and the blame lies entirely with your HR team.

Half the interview was wasted on invasive, irrelevant personal and family-related questions that had absolutely nothing to do with the job. To make things worse, at the end of the interview, I was informed that the actual role was completely different from what was described in the initial email and the first round. Misleading candidates about a job’s requirements is unprofessional and frankly, unethical.

In conclusion, this whole experience was a waste of time and a disgrace. The disorganization, disrespectful behavior, and dishonest representation of the job show a complete disregard for candidates. Such a disjointed and unprofessional hiring process will only harm your company’s reputation and drive capable people far away from even considering a role with you.
