Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: The process includes the application form filling and a test prior to being considered for the interview shortlist. The test is supposed to have 2 sections , one is the DI test which contains tables interpretation questions etc but you have to do it speedily because its cut off is high. Other than that a physchometric test with many questions.

Our GD had 11 people and topic was “is Football or cricket more worthy to be a national game ” . They asked us to be peaceful and I guess somebody too agressive was kicked out. In the end they ask to summarize also.So they wanted a peaceful GD

Round: HR Interview
Experience: If they find anything interesting in CV they were asking that. But otherwise courses studied and projects. If your summers was in a bank , then they ask many questions on summers and were trying to access if you have learnt something during those two months. Questions were like what did you learnt , some kind of situation , basically trying to access your take aways from summers. Also try to show interest in Stanc and the IGP which they have. Try to show interest in their IGP and that you are looking forward to be in such a program
Tips: Mainly a finance interview but they didnt grill on any specific topic like derivatives or valuation. Mostly CV based , asking the candidate to tell about some things he/she did in the campus.

General Tips: There was no grilling so it was cool and simple interviews. Some to-do1. Prepare your CV well2. Dont get nervous3. Try to show your credentials like I told them about certifications I did and involvement in committee4. Prepare your summers really well , more when its in a bank

Then the actual discussion started. The discussion longed for 20 minutes. I have took the stand favouring india and i performed well too. From each GD batch 5 guys were selected for final interview

Round: HR Interview
Experience: My name came at 8th position in interview. Interview was taken by a Vice President who have took our GD and an HR Manager. With high nervousness i appeared before the pannel. First they asked about the college and my personnal details. This made me some ease to get rid off my nervousness and anxiety. Then HR took my resume and looked at my extra curricular activities and qualities. He asked questions for each lines of the resume, like why do you say as a good learner and asked questions from preplacement talks that we had before. They were very much impressed with my membership in NCC. Around 10 minutes they asked about my NCC experiences and its qualities.
After that they moved to technical questions. VP asked me about basics of OOP concepts, difference between C and C++, database concepts. He asked me to write a C program on printing first n prime numbers. Since that was a question i prepared, i did it easily. Then i explained my program and they were impressed with that also. With that interview was over and asked me to wait and after 30 minutes out placement officer came and announced the result. With God's grace i was one among the 4 who got placed.
