Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: Don't know the exact criteria they were looking for but surely they didn't have a CGPA cutoff.
Tips: Highlight your POR's and involvements in co-curricular activities

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: GD conducted by RB was a bit different than all other companies which visited my college. We were just a group of 7/8 students and were instructed to come up with a new innovative product under the brand "Dettol" within 20 mins and to present the idea in last 10 mins. The product which I suggested was not taken ahead by my group so I went along with the consensus product and added my inputs to improve its technical parameters along with its financial and quality aspect as compared to present competitor.
Tips: Focus on costing, quality, packaging and all other possible aspects of the product along with technical.
Participate actively throughout the discussion and while presentation.
Duration: 30 minutes

Round: Technical + HR Interview
Experience: As usual, it started with an introduction and then few basic technical questions were asked from chemistry and chemical engineering followed by a lot of HR questions. Questions from POR section of my CV also came up to which I answered using the scenarios of difficulties faced and achievements and how I contributed at those moments.
Tips: Be confident, express your leadership skills using past examples.
Focus on HR questions majorly.
