Experience: Freshers to an MBA college are the greatest assets for sales & marketing companies. So I was shortlisted based on my academic background, extra curricular activities, PORs and also since I was a fresher.
Tips: Just build up your CV in a format so that your achievements stand out and a balance appears between academics and extra curricular activities.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: IT WAS A GOOD GD AND VARIOUS POINTS RELATED TO CULTURE, PLACEMENTS AND EDUCATION SYSTEM OF IIM CALCUTTA WERE DISCUSSED. 8 MEMBERS WERE THERE IN MY GROUP. 20 MINUTES OF HEALTHY DISCUSSION. HAD TO COME UP WITH A DECISION.
Tips: JUST KEEP YOUR CALM AND SPEAK 2-3 NEW POINTS AND MAKE SURE YOU DON'T UNNECESSARILY INTERRUPT PEOPLE.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: It was a properly balanced interview with both technical and personal questions. As I had quizzing and cricket in my CV, I was asked to develop GTM strategies for both in different scenarios. Also ad interpretation was asked which I was able to reply without any issues. So was a good interview
Tips: Just keep your calm and understand the questions carefully and then answer to them. Prepare your technicals well for sales & marketing like STP, 4P, 5C and GTM.

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - 1.Do not lie or make up situations while answering HR questions. The interviewers have a good sense of when you are telling the truth and when you are making stuff up.

2. Also, across the 3 interview rounds, you will notice questions being repeated - it is completely alright to share the same instance/story across interview rounds. The main motive behind doing this is to judge for consistency.

3.Since P&G mostly focuses on behavioral aspects, you only need to prepare for the HR questions. The HR question bank floats should be good enough.
