Being software developer in EY, all the compensations, hike salary and accessories provided by the company is really good.

Dislikes

It all depends on project but it's hard to move to other project as per your aspirations. Work life balance is oke but since we use laptop we might get late calls for urgent meetings

Work life balance is really a concern in EY, especially in Blockchain account. Pay and Leave policies are really good. People are also awesome.

Dislikes

Management follows a compulsive attitude towards the employees, be it taking badges, certification or anything for that matter.

Hi folks, I have an interview with EY, and the feedback was positive, but it's been 10 days, no proper update, I see BGV investigation is in progress in the portal. Anyone here let me know what will be the procedure, Hr called me on the same day & checked on the salary & notice period part. After 1 week - status changed to BGV investigation in progress. Will they directly release the offer after bgv done & and approx how much time it will take. Please help , as I'm eagerly waiting, pls help if anyone is aware. Thanks in advance

Ample of projects to work and lot of scope to learn and work with multiple technologies

1. Worst work culture. 2. Lot of partiality, they have office in Bangalore for name sake. 80% to 90% Promotions will be for Noida people. Only 10% - 20% from Bangalore. Even though candidates are worthy they still promote Noida Employees rather than promoting Bangalore Candidates. Most of the leadership sits in Noida. 3. For communication they mostly use Hindi then secondary would be English. Even it 10 or 200 members connect/forum, they still discuss in Hindi. They don’t bother that you understand or not 4. HR are also for Name sake, if you complain on any of higher management they will discuss internally with them and target that person and also HRs are very Hard to reach. 5. Micro Management 6. You will fed up with filling more than 3 timesheets every single day. 7. There are no procedures for any thing, etc.. my list will go on. But this is more than enough. My suggestion is, if you were to join EY GDS. Then join in Noida, otherwise don’t. Also keep in mind you should know Hindi....Read More

A prestigious name in corporate worlds as it is a so called Big4. Get exposure to various latest technology tools

Dislikes

Most of applications are inbuilt and will have no use in future destinations Poor work culture, the management is old and their mindset is jammed. Now they started lots of micromanagement. It is just a BPO which tops as big4. Nothing special. If you value mental peace, growth then avoid this company. Specifically the GDS office at Bangalore (CBS Unit) it is all about cost cutting, tracking each action to save money and just fulfill the formalities. There is no meaning of what you do here. Also, in this company there is lot of biased feedback as they favour south people and doesn’t like if some north person comes in Team. They will make work culture so toxic. One more great trick played by them is - the shift time is 10 hours (not 9 hours which is everywhere) they will call it giving shift allowance which is 75% than your actual cost of 1 hour (at least in my case) if it was accenture they provide overtime with double payout. And here very smartly EY is paying for 1 hr at very cheap rate...Read More

If you are lucky enough to be part of the right team, you'll have good work life balance and a good team culture where you'll at least not be absolutely terrified of Mondays and drag through your week for the weekend. The leave policy was good while I was working at EYGBS. My team and team culture was devoid of toxic politics and I had the opportunity to decide what I want to do.

Dislikes

EY GBS job descriptions are basically shopping wish lists. Once you enter the role you'll figure nobody actually has a single skill mentioned in the JD also, the actual job is far from what the initial expectation was. The hiring process is a nightmare, salary is miniscule, almost every function has absolute chernobyl level toxicity, leaders favour their own people. Talent is colluded with head hunters for hiring and you'll get zero results on applying directly to career page. I was a part of an internal support team and had access to data and people from various functions in EY GBS. Apart from the fact that there is absolutely no clarity to ANYONE what they are doing, if you are a yapper you might succeed but in an incompetent space such as EY GBS, your likeability is your biggest asset, since there is no real work that gets done here....Read More

Employee engagement. Their employee satisfaction reviews seems fake and manipulative, mostly. The Partner won’t let you spend the budget to your team member and it’s their tendency to put themselves in limelight that he is the sole owner of your life. I don't like the so much dirty politics of manager sitting on senior manager position. They are so pathetic never encouraged, appreciate hard working deserving employees.

I really don't like involvement of QA senior manager in year end discussion, when they don't really involve through the year any discussion with employees. They never engaged with employees just for rating discussion they are included which is really not good. I have worked with EY for approximately 5 years and felt at comfort with few managers since they were very cooperative and understanding. The company promotes culture of flexible working hours in some teams.

Dislikes

1. Undue work pressure in non busy seasons and not letting charge time 2. Huge politics during promotions and increment cycle end. 3. Mental pressure due to unrealistic deadlines. 4. Leadership misuses their power to shut down employees raising voices against malpractices. 5. EY GDS not always following global audit guidelines.

There is no work life balance and seniors and managers are very unsupportive, always terget the colleagues. Internal politics are the major part of the EY. All the employees who working 10years continually they treat ourselves as the CEO of this company. Overall I do not recommend anyone to working with this organisation.
