I like work culture and the security that TCS won't layoffs their employee easily. But if u r someone looking for growth and good salary then definitely TCS is not for u. It's a good company to join after u have successfully completed 15-20 yrs of experience so that u cn spend later years peacefully.
They care more about 9hrs rather than ur work. Growth will become stagnant after few years, managers won't release u easily from project. Salary hike pathetic, hike (3-6%) doesn't even beat inflation rate. Trust me u will become frustrated seeing ur salary hike.

My career had the lowest low when I had to join TCS. It was all because of an internal transition and not voluntarily at all. There is absolutely no growth at all. Like zero growth financially inspite of I working in a very challenging and competent product based company, as my client.
I dislike everything. My mental health took a toll here thinking about what my career life is turning out to be.

Manager was very supportive they encouraged us to keep on learning and give our best. No extra hour of work we need to do. Incase of any doubt my lead and manager used to help us understand every single details of why and how we are going to fix it.

It has low work load due to enough support staff and job is secure as TCS will never ask to leave unless there is a major policy violation.
No Appraisals. No Bonus. No management of Project. No proper Org Hierarchy. All Policies are Complex and Confusing. Internal project movement is near impossible. Promotion will be heard rarely. Lots of hidden charges. And the most important, you will never get salary given in offer letter, it will be short by around atleast 2 LPA or more than that only.

1. There are no other benefits apart from salary 2. 5 days WFO failing which they deduct in the quarterly performance pay. 3. Salary Hike is for name sake you will end up getting 30 to 35k per year for highest band. 4. No technical growth. TCS is an organization that keep a tagline "Building on Beliefs" but don't stay on their words. I feel it's a worst company and following primitive methodologies of work. Once the organization was saying only 25% of workforce will work from office by 2025 now has changed their words. Woth no work life balance, and minimum salary bands, I feel it's an organization forcing their employees to scramble with stupid policies. Nothing new to learn new. Most of the projects are support very few development projects. If you are lucky then you get chance to work in development projects. My suggestion if you are new in professional career never join TCS. Learning graph is linear salary hike and promotion is almost negligible
