It's been more than a year and half working at TATA Elxsi's Calicut location and it's been an experience which cannot be forgotten. The work life balance which the company provides and the opportunities to take on task and learn new skills within a shortest time and with the greatest support which the leadership team provides enhances our performance and as well re skill and adapt to the corporate life and it's tedious work with ease. The opportunities which the center provides is truly tremendous compared to its other counterpart as its a developing center and we could experience all the challenges and take it on at a earlier phase in our career which could help us in modulating our leadership skills at a beginning phase itself.. And not to forget the people that work together with me , and the welcoming nature which each individual radiates is truly heartwarming. I joined Calicut centre as a software developer.But got my worst experience from here . Calicut centre has some policies that other centres doesn't have especially centre head here is making peoples life more miserable. No wfh provided even though other centres have it. importance is given to arts and sports not actual work. No opportunities.lot of people on bench. Don't join Calicut centre.

Work culture not good. Senior People do not respect eachother's times. You will have to work extended hours to achieve targets. no collaboration culture. The manager never appreciates our work, and there are no appraisals in the company. There are no events or moments of happiness in the office. Moreover, there are no stable projects; each time, the manager tries to push us into a new project while expecting us to learn a new programming language. Once we learn the language, they push us into another project with a different technology.

1. Job security is good as a Tata company. 2. Work life balance is good. 99% of the time you can log off at 6 (pm) without any burden.

1. Many times, the assigned projects are not inline with your skillset though you are lateral with some domain expertise. 2. Good automotive projects are more dominant at Trivandrum and Bangalore location. Other locations in India mostly gets support projects which are just for compliance and doesn't add value to customer as well asto employee's career. 3. Townhalls are not transparent. It happens on teams and your questions are filtered and visible to organizers only. If it is addressed, sometimes we get silly answers. Top level people don't know ground reality and they don't want to know it. 4. Job security is also a con as non-performing assets sits doing nothing and there are few people who are bench from 600+ days and many people are on bench from 1 year. Company doesn't take much effort to train such resources. They have learning central where recorded lectures are there (which are as good as learning coding with "Hello, World!" program only in training material) and everyone is supposed to learn from there and crack client interviews....Read More
