1. The office hours start at usual time, but it does not end on time. The manager and senior management likes their employees to extend the working hours. The average working hours is 11 hours. Few companies give warning to its employees if the email is sent at late hours. Whereas in SCB if the email is sent by an employee at late night, that employee is considered to be great. This impacts to work-life balance of the employees. This also impacts other employees by stating when one employee can stretch his/her working hours then why can't other employees extend. 2. In SCB, nobody bothers to accept or decline the meeting requests sent on emails. Only when the meeting starts the scheduler comes to know that 'n' number of people are not joining. Very bad work culture of not responding to emails and meeting requests. 3. Since it is banking domain the employees' laptops are secured. In this case, you can't browse and access your personal emails. On top of that, you can't access educational videos too. This impacts your career. You can not do much R & D to learn many things. This impacts SCB too because the enhancement on any project can not happen. 4. Lot of SCB applications have bugs, because the managers here give importance to quantity and not quality. 5. Managers put heavy pressure on employees by assigning 4 to 5 projects at a time. In agile methodology, everyday progress of each project is expected. In this case, each day the opening and closing of each of these 5 application related documents itself wastes half an hour of employee. 6. Since banking applications are secured, there are multi level authentication. You have to enter password, OTP to login and again same for VPN and each of the remaining applications.
