If Oracle offers you a contract role (especially in the ODD team), be cautious. Employees are often treated as second class & professionalism is lacking. Some directors behave as if they own the company , making firing decisions based on personal biases without prior notice. In less than a year, I witnessed 7 colleagues being dismissed for such reasons. They will polarize employees based on regional biases, such as South & North Indian, spread false accusations, and exhibit gender bias. As a contract employee you have to be available for 24/7 and you will be treated like a daily wage laborer (some time get abused), with no support or recourse for grievances. Fun at work environment and good culture coordinate teammates are supportive and the transparent in management. There is a horrible cafeteria and gaming arcade for chilling. Company terms and conditions are good, appraisals are fair and they give worth salary hike and incentives and bonus every year

Dislikes

There is a lot of politics and the management doesn't address our issues. Salary is decent but career growth is slow.There is a bond of 2 years before which you cannot resign. On the job training is not given to new joinees

The job is quite interesting! struggled a bit in the beginning as there was no formal training session. I learnt everything on the job. I got a chance to wear multiple hats and that helped me get a taste of different roles within the same team

No new learning, old tech, repeating non- tech work for tech employees, manager will keep you busy with documentation until you don't raise you concern if you raise the will give you work but they will expect you to work by extending working hour

Product company I have never been on bench in the last 17 Years No need to run looking for projects. Projects will automatically take you Lots of exposure in terms of direct customer requirements giving us insight of how customer uses our product/customizations

No Work life balance No demarcation between Imple and Support Teams which makes life miserable for the resources as they end up handling both in parallel Yearly Appraisals are delinked from hikes and hikes are not yearly. No preset frequency. May or may not happen. Even the leadership Team will not know if a hike is coming or not

Not much scope for growing skill wise as they are using old techs. Tasks are also not satisfactory.
