Scrape for work. The teams are overstaffed, so politics is natural. Evenhough the salary is average, still looking at the deliverables it feels being overpaid. With a lot of hierarchy and bureaucracy, logic takes a backseat. Documentations are decent but some people are so incompetent that they will waste time by scheduling multiple calls to understand 2+2=4. Their mouths are too small to even spoon feed the complex problems. Still they get by. No one has end goal in mind so many tech discussions wander off point. Objective discussions and deep dives are rare. People are always busy for some reason. Higher management is not employee friendly. There are empty talks by leaders about wlb here, I don't think anyone really means it or they are too much disconnected from the working folks. Scheduled 1:1s are a chore and doesn't address actual issues. I suggest reach out to your work horses informally and most importantly observe their contributions. Insurance benefit is pretty dismal.
