I am talking about HP between the period from 2002 to 2012. It was a wonderful period that HP was always considered as an employees organization due to the care and opportunities given was beyond the comparison against industry standards. Its a wonderful organization gives continues learning opportunities, skill development both related to your work as well your desire to learn new things towards your overall development. Though the compensation might be little low comparing industry standards, the job security, long-term benefits like ESOP, travel opportunities, promotions and room for testing new methods and innovations are beyond comparison. One point of time HP was started lacking a right leader on the top rung and being such a huge organization, they failed to consolidate and focus on business strategies which bring in new technological changes in overall IT and ITES business. Unfortunately, they fail to understand what they want and what they need to do to pull up themselves preventing deterioration.
It's my golden period of working and always close to my heart to remember and refer to any conversation that brings up my past work experience.

i worked @ HPE for a year, one of the best companies i have worked for. With defined process,SOP, leave policies and flexi timings, i was able to perform my duties with due diligence. The management is transparent and employee friendly company !

The management displays clear favoritism, often making last-minute shift changes and denying requests for work-from-home or leave without proper reasons. In some cases, they include false claims in warning letters for reasons only they seem to understand. Contract workers face unfair treatment unless they continually appease the managers to get what they need. Salary discrepancies are prevalent—favored employees receive higher pay for the same work, while others encounter issues during performance reviews and pay hikes. When we ask for work-from-home due to long commutes, we're told to take leave, only to later be criticized for taking too many days off. The inconsistency is frustrating. They also send formal emails for trivial matters, like stepping out to collect a food delivery. Speaking of food, the canteen offers very limited healthy options for night shift workers, with choices like instant noodles and white bread sandwiches, though the cook is good. Hygiene is another concern—there have been instances of worms in the water filters, and some employees do not maintain basic hygiene standards in the washrooms. While badged employees, especially those on their notice period, are often left unchecked for not working, contract workers—especially the quieter ones—face disproportionate scrutiny for minor issues.
