Top leadership is positive for progress and has shown good vision. Availability of full time experiment shop across company facilities provides good opportunities for fresh engineers to learn.

Although top leadership has good vision, the execution is pathetic due to complacent middle management. Most of the middle management has been working for more than a decade and show no enthusiasm in bringing up good people and there’s a lack of grooming culture in the organisation. There’s huge disparity in remuneration and no definitive grade system across locations in India. The disparity is so huge that a newcomer at lower level is earning more than twice as much as a long time employee. There’s no effort to make this correct, nor any roadmap for developing people. The policies are not employee friendly and work life balance is worst due to odd location and timings of the company. This is often promoted as a challenging culture by middle management, however as a matter of fact it is very unprofessional and demanding rather than challenging. Work at my position is exciting but largely depends on what product one is working on. India specific products have enough opportunities to grow in engineering function, but dominated by management interference from headquarters in UK.
