Except salary hike and promotion everything is good at IBM. One can learn a lot if he/ she is willing. It's a company where the management will listen to the practitioners and takes steps to improve. All individuals are encouraged to work for the account and the organization and there is a lot of opportunities for right people to showcase talent and get the desired visibility. Dislikes

As I said salary hike and lack of growth up the ladder are the two points that should be improved. As IBM focuses on utilisation , it is most important to be billable. Otherwise it becomes an issue as utilisation is one of the key measures in IBM based on which performance is determined at the end of the year.

I have worked in many companies for more than 5 years. But this is the one company i couldn't stand for 2 years. Nothing good about working in IBM. All the projects has its own issues.

I will give you an example why I dont like that is enough for you to decide if it is a best place to work or not. 1. My appraisal was not good when I asked the reason. I had taken 15 days leave and I couldn't arrange my resource on my behalf to work. I reason I took leave was my father expired while he was hospitalized and he was in ICU. How can company expect such a thing. I have many more like this can't explain in one review. You just need to know how to butter you're boss and hang around him where ever he goes like Hutch Dog.
