Line manager is everything, he decides your rating, increment, bonus. HR is just a yes man to whatever reporting manager says. Lot of good policies on paper but at ground level not much. HR is absolutely not reachable

Worst culture of colonial British like. Give good money when when extracting work else just torture and harass you. Worst work life balance it is life threatening. People have gone in coma also. Don't join in any situation.

Appraisal and Salary is less as compared to other banks. Dbs is Singapore bank, so every decision made in Singapore. DTI is worked like service base company who follows the order from Singapore management.

Good Job security, good place to learn but not earn. Mostly weekend working is not there if you are capable.

Dislikes

Past 2 years they have bulk hired like service based companies and these senior officers and analyst performance is also like tcs, infosys hcl and ibm. Most of them are always taking breaks in groups and don't take responsibility. Disadvantages of hiring junior all Telugu only. Some of these have 2 yrs experience and still cannot write a SpringBoot application.

For a fresher this is the best company, but moving onto next few years after will be challenging to cope up with DBS work culture.

Doesn't give enough time for a developer, will be hard to deliver quality products. Also we stick up with same project when we start and will be very difficult to switch between projects as managers doesn't let you go or want to give up you from the project

The Employee for benefits are very awesome and the interest rate among personal loan and home loans are very reasonable and low rate for employees and giving additional 1% interest on fixed deposits is superb it's more than senior citizens rate

DBS is an organisation where it’s fully compliance driven and technology based.

Dislikes

There is partiality between different workstations. Branch have different work culture and CO/RO have different work cultures. In fact there is no benefit, performance recognition, appraisals, promotions, career upgradation, work life balance for branch banking staffs. Whereas it completely enjoyed on all above grounds for non branch banking staffs.
