It's just the name. Highly micromanaged. Understaffed. Pressured employees. Cattle treatment. Eg: Changing cab policies to have 4 people in a sedan cab and 6 people in a suv in mid heat season on June. Basement is like a boiler room waiting for the cabs. Senior management says, don't bother about aht, focus on customer satisfaction, later they send stinkers on high aht. Senior management says we are overstaffed but there are always calls on queue. Must beg for leaves from management. Building management is filthy, bathrooms are stinking and never clean. No activities for employees. Hr said ijp can be filled in 1 year, but internal management says wait for 2 years Etc etc. I can go on and on...Read More

In Barclays, there is no or weak HR, line manager are made without their skills and caliber, Line manager post is more on favouritism rather than those who deserve it. Line manager make their own rules and decisions and no work ethics i have seen.

I work in Barclays LTS office, Pune. GTIS in Barclays is the worst department to work with. I would suggest better to work with other departments rather than working in GTIS. Appraisal and promotions are very less as compared to other departments. During Diwali and Christmas as well management of GTIS gives nothing to it's employeesnor sweets nor gifts. During year end review management has only one reason that company is in loss so less increment this year but people working in management get good humesha. Every year we got to know the same reason from the management. Very less bonus is given , in that too half of the bonus is deducted in Tax 🥺 Barclays GTIS is doing much of the cost cutting. Office politics and feviritism is also the other problem here. They give less respect for the people working for more than 10 years. They get very less increment as compared to the one who are newly hired. The office space is good, work is intresting if your teams works on solving for core banking technologies, pay is average but if you bargain hard there is a chance they might stretch their budget. Team cultures is pretty laid back with middle aged folks who want to settle in their roles.
There's a fair amount of office politics, people usually settle into their role and don't adapt quickly to new technologies and being a bank innovative solutions take a back step and all the soltions have to be vetted for security approvals
