IBM COUNTER OFFER NEGOTIATION
How much max does IBM GBS pays for lateral hires of 7A band.
Selected as senior data engineer for Barclays project.
YOE : 5.5 , CCTC : 15.65 lpa fixed
First they offered 20 lpa fixed due to 90 days NP, but now I am getting released 1 month earlier and holding offer of 24 lpa fixed from Aditya Birla Capital.
Will they match the offer if I negotiate as I can join them in 10 days.

Since IBM GBS initially offered 20 LPA considering your 90-day notice period, now that you can join earlier, you definitely have leverage to negotiate. Tell them you have a competing offer of 24 LPA and see if they can match or at least come close

IBM does negotiate, but it depends on the budget for the project. Since Barclays is a big client, they might push for it. Definitely bring up your offer from Aditya Birla Capital, but also be prepared to justify why they should match it.

You should first ask HR directly if they can revise the offer based on your early joining and competing offer. If they hesitate, mention that you'd prefer IBM but need a compelling reason to choose them over Aditya Birla.

Bhai, your current salary is higher than the offer I got for 7A. Negotiate with them for 24. They have a budget but often rely on counter offers and present fixed salaries a lot!
