I recently came across a post about [Zomato](zomato). They added an extra fee for their vegetarian delivery service, which upset a lot of vegetarians. Many felt it was like a "luxury tax" for choosing plant-based meals.

The good news? 
Zomato’s CEO, Deepinder Goyal, has already apologized for the move and assured everyone it’ll be fixed soon. It’s great to see quick accountability and a willingness to address concerns.

What are your thoughts on this kind of pricing adjustment and Zomato’s response?

Career Advice

I work in Nagarro as a Software Engineer.
It's been a little more than 2 years since I joined as a fresher. Salary hikes are not impressive. Trash projects, nobody knows where the company is going. I've been working with really bad liars for the past 2 years. Everyone in this company seems to be treating it as their retirement plan because they offer work from home.

I work on python automation POCs and my team is one of those "Agile" ones with no direction. It can be renamed as "Team ADHD". Their plans change every 4 hours and none of them are engineers, they are consultants (manchilds or scammers would be a good word).

I'm also not able to get other job offers, Hardly got 2 interviews after hundreds of applications across multiple platforms. I do see other people getting better roles in better companies. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm attaching *one of my resumes* in case someone wants to help me out.

Not sure if I should continue

Day to Day Office

I’ve noticed this happening more and more in my company and even in some big names where Gen Z employees just leave without any prior notice. Not even serving the notice period… sometimes not even officially resigning. Just disappearing.

And honestly, as millennials, we still feel guilty just writing the resignation email. So when we hear someone say “maza nahi aa raha” and leave without any process, it really makes us pause.

If you think HR doesn’t keep track of this, or it won’t matter later please know that it can affect future opportunities.

Leaving a job is totally okay. But leaving professionally and respectfully? That matters too. 

Let’s not burn bridges before we even cross them.

I recently went for an interview… and honestly, m still trying to process what just happened.

Instead of being asked about my skills, experience, or how I could add value to the company… the questions took a totally unexpected turn. The interviewer started asking things like

 When are you getting married?
 Are you engaged?
 And m sure, if I had said I was married, the next question would’ve been How long have you been married?

What does my personal life have to do with the job m applying for?

This is where I felt the gender discrimination hit hard. These types of questions are so casually thrown at women during interviews  but are they ever asked to men? No one asks male candidates if they’re planning a wedding or how old their kids are. So why is it okay to ask women?

 Can we please stop normalising this kind of behaviour in interviews? Our careers shouldn’t be judged by our relationship status. Period.

Why are women still asked such personal questions in interview?

Woke up to heavy rain, got ready anyway, reached office and... it’s just me, the security guard, and one confused intern 😂
Apparently, rain = mass WFH mode now.

Anyone else’s office turns into a haunted building the moment it drizzles? Or is it just us pretending to follow “flexible culture”? 👀

Rainy day or unofficial holiday? Office feels like a ghost town today 😅

Worked on a project from zero. Thought-through the idea, built the base, delivered the framework, and ran it till near-finish while my manager was on a 6 month leave.

Meanwhile, a colleague with a strong talent for saying “yes sir” to the right people kept requesting to be assigned. Eventually, he was.

I trained him. Not out of obligation, just so the handover was smooth.

A week later, I was told the project’s being scrapped due to low ROI. I was reassigned. He stayed back to "wrap it up."

Also got told, “Nobody asked you to train him.”

4 months later, he’s promoted and given an award for that project.

Sometimes it’s not about how well you work. It’s about who you work around.
