Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..

The starting CTC is competitive compared to the market; however, the subsequent single-digit appraisals are inadequate for India.

There is no work-life balance and growth is stagnant due to multiple project assignments, and the Anglepoint India management team lacks professionalism and work ethics during Focal discussions, often displaying an uncooperative attitude. Additionally, the IBM team leader based in India would benefit from management training, as constructive feedback is often overlooked. His/ her focus appears to be on personal growth, which is achieved within two years, whereas junior to mid-level employees are expected to meet director-level skill criteria for advancement....Read More
