JD for Payroll Specialist:
Payroll Processing: -

• Provide timely payroll input to payroll partner.
• Full and final processing for left employees.
• Validation of payroll input as per company policies and legal requirements.
• Maintain and update payroll records for all employees.
• Manage and co-ordinate with vendor for flexi benefit policies. (Meal card, NPS, Car Lease)
• Facilitate accurate and timely salary disbursement.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the efficiency of the entire payroll process.

Tax and Compliance Management: -

• Ensure compliance with Indian tax laws, Including Income tax (TDS), Provident Fund (EPF), Employee state Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax(PT), and any other statutory deductions.
• Co-ordinate for filing of TDS returns and other statutory forms (Form 16, Form 24Q, Quarterly Challans)
• Calculate and remit statutory deductions like PF, ESI and PT on time.

HRSS and Reporting

• Preparation of different kinds of report as per stakeholders’ requirements.
• Intime task completions on peoplestrong.
• Awareness session for employees.
• Audit data preparation.
• Conduct Induction sessions.
• Support employees throughout their entire payroll lifecycle.

Employee queries: -

• Respond to employee queries regarding payroll, deductions, Tax explanation, flexi benefits and other compensation related matters.
• Handle discrepancies and corrections related to salary processing.

System Update and Process Improvements: -

• Recommend improvements to payroll process and ensure adherence to internal controls.
• Stay updated on changes in labour laws and tax regulations that after payroll processing.

Flexi and Vendor & other payments: -

• Coordination with Vendor, account department and ensure timely distribution of meal card and NPS payments.
• Process vendor invoice payments.
• FNF and salary hold payments as per decided pay cycle

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or any other related field.
• Prior experience of five plus years in the payroll field.
• Excellent communication, time-management and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS office and operational knowledge of HRIS systems are an added advantage.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local laws and regulations.
• A problem solver with a curious mindset and quick decision-making ability.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, resource and time-constrained environment.
• Excel in a confidential work environment.
• Flexibility to different business needs with detail-oriented skills to review large data sets accurately.
• A willingness to work additional hours during month-ends, year-ends, or as per job requirements.
• Hands-on experience in handling payroll, compliance and client management of MNC companies.
