Round 1 - Coding Test

Coding round was weird. The interviewer couldn't understand english and there was a bit of miscommunication because of the language barrier. I answered the question nevertheless. The second round was where the scam happened. The HR told me it was a system design round and I had prepared accordingly. The interviewer was 15 mins late (I had to call the HR numerous times to get the interviewer in the call) and in the interview I was asked another DSA question instead of a System Design question. The interviewer was rude, abruptly ended the call in 10 mins and HR ghosted me for a week. She rudely asked me to stop calling one day and told me I was not selected. Stay away from these monkeys.

  • Q2. In all three rounds they will ask you to brief about yourself

Interview Preparation Tips

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - During interview, Recruiter and Hr just ask if you have laptop and broadband.
But the thing is they will hide many things from you like during training they will ask you to arrange extra phone and sim card, and you have to bear all the expenses like mobile and internet recharge and electricity bill.
Plus it was a contract job and they did not disclose this during interview. They will tell you that we informed you earlier about this.
Salary is too low as per the work load.
Don't even get time to breathe and there are no employee value.Your trainer and Tl will treat you like hell.
There is no personal life after working in Teleperformance.
There are no breaks, you have to ask like a student if you want to go to loo also.
This was the worst experience of my life.

In reasoning and analytical section they will ask puzzles and if u read shakuntala devi and jimmers puzzle book it is more than sufficient.. In verbal section they have given around 2 passages and 5 questions for each passage dont waste more time in this section because it is time consuming.. they have given some fill in the blanks questions where we have to search for synonyms and antonyms No technical section was there

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Basically i am from Mechanical back ground they dint asked any questions related to software.... They asked questions like how do you update your self regarding your technical knowledge... have you thought of any innovative ideas recent past..

Round: HR Interview
Experience: In HR they asked 2 situation reaction tests. 1)she asked my hobbies and replied playing cricket... she posed a question to me that if i was appointed as cricket team captain for M-Tech mech team how i select my team.... i answered purely by performance no partiality like that.. but she asked to think more then she answered for the questions as... I alone cannot select the team because in M-Tech there may be more that 500 students so i have to take help from some of my friends and this shows attitude towards team work.... 2) She asked one more question like if i am a boss and there are 5 peoples working under me.. my boss given me one work that has to be completed in with in a month... now it is the last day of month and still 25% of work is remaining how i handle that situation... I answered that I will answer to the boss that from next time i will finish 1 months work in 20 days itself so that we will not be facing this kind of problems next time.. then she told ok....

General Tips: Infosys recruitment wont concentrate too much on technical side... they concentrate on logical and analytical thinking and situation reactions etc... so go through puzzles from shankuntala devi and jimmers... and some analytical and logical sections from RS agarwaal
Dont concentrate on technical questions because they wont ask any technical questions... you must prepare well for the written test and Interview will depend on your logical and analytical thinking and situation reactions.. all the best.. hope i will see you in Infosys next year....

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: I had a standard resume for this company as per our institute placement cell norms.
I usually changed my “Areas of Interest” as per the company profile. For Deloitte I laid emphasis on my extracurricular activities and feel it is especially beneficial if you highlight points where you have worked in a team, shown leadership or have done something new or out of the box.
An idea about what work the person has to do for the profile may also seem beneficial.

Round: Test
Experience: I had prepared for CAT (MBA entrance test for IIM’s) and it helped a lot in the written test. It basically helped in clearing tests for Deloitte (as well as ZS Associates). The tests for these companies were conducted by AMCAT (which is a organisation which helps students prepare for CAT). So preparation for CAT would certainly help in clearing the written test for these companies.

The first round was the written test of 60 minute duration. There were three sections in all; two of those were aptitude and the third was English. Some students faced difficulty because they got a lot of questions from Permutation and Combination. Having prepared for CAT exam earlier I found this written test comparatively easier and no special preparation was required.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: The second round was a group case study. The candidates were divided into different groups. Each candidate of the group was supposed to play the role of an expert in a particular area. Then a business problem was given to the entire group and 3 minutes were allotted to discuss the problem. The group was supposed to finally come out with a feasible solution after studying the different aspects of the problem.

The case given to our group was about a medical centre that wanted to convert the patient data into soft copy from the existent hard copy storage including data like X-ray results and so on, and then send this data to the patient over the internet in form of electronic mail. We as an expert panel were expected to find the problems that might be encountered during this process and consequently come out with feasible solutions to tackle the same. A lot of possible issues were discussed – the major ones being that of the financial burden of the entire process, getting contacts of patients who had been treated in the past, the man power required for process and how to dispose off the present hard copies of the data.

There were 10 people overall in my group out of which 6 qualified for the next round.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: The next round was the personal interview round. They asked me whether I knew C++ and I replied yes. Since I had revised C++ thoroughly, I was confident. One of the questions they asked me was to write a program/algorithm that gives the Fibonacci series as the output. Some HR (Human Resource) questions were also asked like ‘Since you belong to the N.C.R. region would you be able to adjust to living in southern India.’ These questions were mainly aimed to check my interest in the company. The technical questions that I was asked were very simple. They did not have in depth knowledge about the domain of my project and I feel the main aim of asking questions about one’s projects is to check the dedication towards the task in hand.

General Tips: If you are interested in working in a sector not related to your core area of study, then this company is a very good choice. A good knowledge of C++ and fluency in speaking English is a must to get selected in Deloitte.
College Name: IIT ROORKEE
Motivation: Most of the information regarding the company was obtained by attending the Pre Placement Talk. The company has been visiting the campus for many years and has a good reputation amongst the students.  It will be good if one knows what actually he has to do in the profile offered as it would be an added advantage during the personal interview round.
