A transformer is an electrical device that transfers electrical energy between two or more circuits through electromagnetic induction.
Transformers are used to increase or decrease voltage levels in electrical circuits.
They consist of two coils of wire, known as the primary and secondary coils, wrapped around a core.
Step-up transformers increase voltage levels, while step-down transformers decrease voltage levels.
Transf...
Resistance is the opposition to the flow of electric current.
Resistance is measured in ohms (Ω).
It is caused by the collisions of electrons with atoms in a conductor.
Higher resistance leads to lower current flow.
Resistance can be affected by factors like material, length, and temperature.
Examples of high resistance materials include rubber and glass.
Examples of low resistance materials include copper and silver.
A generator is a device that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy.
Generators are commonly used in power plants to generate electricity
They can also be used as backup power sources in case of power outages
Generators can be powered by various sources such as gasoline, diesel, natural gas, or renewable energy sources like wind or solar
They work on the principle of electromagnetic induction
A capacitor is an electronic component that stores and releases electrical energy in a circuit.
Capacitors are used to filter out noise in electronic circuits.
They can also be used to store energy in flash cameras.
Capacitors are measured in farads, with smaller values denoted in microfarads or picofarads.

I applied via campus placement at Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Agra and was interviewed before Sep 2022. There were 5 interview rounds.
General aptitude test follwed by a technical round. Questions were asked from different online forums/sites. Lengthy to be solved at own. it was a CBT.
GD was conducted in batches of 10 to 15. Firstly all members were given 3 choices of topics for GD. GD topics were very general. Then the selected topic was reserved for the GD. it was more like a debate. Everyone raised volume to ensure that they are heard more. Those who spoke more irrespective of the quality of arguments, finally aced the GD round.
A thermal power plant generates electricity by converting heat energy into electrical energy through the use of steam turbines.
Thermal power plants burn fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas, or oil to heat water and produce steam.
The steam is then used to drive a turbine connected to a generator, which produces electricity.
The waste heat from the turbine is usually released into the environment through cooling towers...
Thermal power plants generate electricity by converting heat energy into electrical energy.
Fuel (coal, oil, gas) is burned to produce heat
Heat is used to boil water and produce steam
Steam drives a turbine connected to a generator, producing electricity
Cooling water is used to condense the steam back into water for reuse
Electricity is then transmitted through power lines to consumers
Rankine cycle is a thermodynamic cycle used in steam power plants to generate electricity.
Rankine cycle involves four processes: compression, heating, expansion, and cooling.
Steam is compressed in a pump, heated in a boiler, expanded in a turbine, and cooled in a condenser.
The cycle aims to maximize the efficiency of converting heat into mechanical work.
It is commonly used in power plants to generate electricity.

Electricity is produced in a generator through electromagnetic induction. Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction explains this process.
Electricity is produced in a generator through the process of electromagnetic induction.
When a conductor is moved through a magnetic field, or a magnetic field is moved around a conductor, it creates an electric current.
This current is then collected and converted into usable electr...
