Round 1 - Technical

(4 Questions)

  • Q1. Qty of cement in M25 grade concrete
  • Ans.

The quantity of cement in M25 grade concrete is 350 kg/m³.

    • M25 grade concrete has a mix proportion of 1:1:2 (cement:sand:aggregate).

    • The total volume of concrete is taken as 1 m³.

    • Therefore, the quantity of cement required for 1 m³ of M25 grade concrete is 350 kg.

    • This is calculated by multiplying the volume of concrete by the proportion of cement in the mix.

  • Q2. Exact weight of different dia of steel
  • Ans.

The weight of steel varies with its diameter.

    • The weight of steel can be calculated using the formula: weight = volume x density

    • The density of steel is approximately 7850 kg/m³

    • The volume of steel can be calculated using the formula: volume = pi x (diameter/2)² x length

    • For example, a 10mm diameter steel rod with a length of 1 meter would weigh approximately 0.393 kg
