Seeking advice on current job

Current Job Situation: I’ve been working at TCS for over 2.5 years, with a total experience of 4.5 years. My salary is 9.6 LPA, and I work with technologies like Casper framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Java, PL/SQL, and JBoss. While I have good job security and flexibility, I feel like I’m working with outdated technologies and have a lot of leisure time, which is affecting my motivation. Concerns: 1. Outdated Tech: I’m worried that working with older tech will limit future opportunities. Should I stay or move to a role with newer technologies? 2. Salary: Is my current package competitive for my experience? What salary should I aim for if I switch? Seeking Advice: What modern technologies should I learn to stay relevant?

It's salary and benefits is too good form other companies that's the only benefit there.

Dislikes

Company is in deep trouble and every week there are silent layoffs They don't have budget and name of performance they laid down the people. Senior leader don't have vison how to grow instead they are focusing how and where to cut the budget. Recently company transfer over 1500+ employee to Accenture and shutdown there one or two units. Rumours are there 2 to 3 department also will shutdown in recent years. Long story short they may shutdown there office from India. My personal recommendation don't join TIAA atleast 2 years....Read More

Tiaa has 2 leadership , one frm US (provides work) and one frm India (people lead). Indian Leads are worst as they dont value the work you do. Worst strategy by Indian leads to fetch the work from US. Collegues specially from cybersecurity are insecure, they would defame others for promotions and steal a credit of your work and presnt to managers (you wont get to know). Company is paying good salary. Amazing office setup at prime location Powai Hiranandani.

Dislikes

Company has zero work life balance. We are not taking breaks on time, we skip meals also. Sometimes we work on weekends. Systems are very outdated and works like government websites.
