Colleagues especially senior team members do internal politics and whatever you do to give your best. They will always pull you back by giving incomplete trainings to the work items so that you don't have sufficient knowledge and they have the control on you. They keep blaming you for their own mistakes. They will do time pass and take break as per their wish and blame on you guys for extending the shift. They will store all the processor errors and give fail back work at the end of shift time and blame that they are processing incorrectly that's why extending shift and blame that they are processing slowly so how can we qc fast. There is no unity and no team bonding in the team because senior team members and TL don't want it. They only want to rule on the processor and put unwanted pressure on them. If the processor does well, they will harrass them by naming weird names or make fun of them in front of other team members. This is very frustrating and we can't complain about them to anyone because they have good repo with managers. Manager listen to them first because they have the process knowledge. Processor can't help it and they are suffering because they also have family to look after and can't leave job so easily in this tight job market. I work in reconciliations team for Mumbai- RFR India. So these are related to that team only. 1. Less package compared to competitors 2. Managers are always micromanaging 3. They expect you to work beyond shift hours and you're rewarded for that by giving 1000₹ extra in a month. 4. Kanjoosi in giving out OTs while they make you work till 8.30am to 9.30pm 5. 5% hike is what they gave last year and this year, no matter how well you perform. 6. They give 17k as salary to bcom or MBA freshers, which is outright down market. 7. SYSTEM ISSUES - omg the biggest one here, they call themselves as a technology company, but can't even provide a stable system to work on, there are always sort of issues everyday of the week. 8. They say WFH flexibility - but they expect you to login even at 10.30-11.30 pm in the night, if any work needs to be done. 9. Parag Kinariwala and Murtuza Bootwala's team of managers are pure garbage. Either they're on bulk week's leave in a month or either on calls, but they don't have time for you to call/discuss issues. 10. No scope of knowledge enhancement or growth. One of the worst companies I have worked with. This is the first company where I saw people asking to cancel their Paternity leave. I mean WTH!! The management is very well aware about this issue that they have less FTE and more volume still they don’t hire people and make other employees life easy. There are people who don’t have alife apart from work and they expect the same from you. I mean C’mon man. First of all there is no such thing as training. You have to work and learn at the same time. In each team there are always people who will be on notice period and about to leave, and you will find them struggling, despite that they won’t hire people coz there are alot of people in line who are ok to join this kind of toxic culture. You have to work on weekends, weekdays and even on holidays and they will ask you to cancel ur leaves and work. 12 hrs is basic here it’s like 9 hrs in other companies. Also I have noticed the managers deliberately cancels ur planned leaves, first of all they don’t even approve leave and suppose in extreme conditions if u took unplanned leave then they will harass you.they take pride in cancelling leaves of other employees. Again on Paternity leaves - what’s the point of asking employees to take paternity leave after some days or after weeks. There is no point if the employee is not giving time to his family on this critical time. Heights literally. Less employees more work : the MDs flaunt their Mercedes but won’t hire more FTE’s. Now it depends on where you are working currently. My previous job had the best work culture but appraisals happened once in 2 or 3 years. So, the salary benefits compared to that was very good, at least it happened every year even if it is only 5 to 6 %.
The work can be better if the people are cooperative but no one gives you the complete information about the process literally. People who have been since the inception of the process withhold the information with them and literally there is nothing you can do. You have to learn gradually watching and observing but that really takestime and a lot of effort. There is no work life balance.its pathetic. Literally you have to slog and forget about week days. The processes are so messed up and it leads to stretch without any reason. You have to stretch daily some times 13 to 14 a day. 22 to 12 hrs is just normal here. Management is poor. Nobody really cares about your concerns unless you are an asset to the team and really useful. But still partiallity and biasness exists.
